Taqueria Don Pastor — Restaurant in Dallas

Went here to check out the food and $1 margarita special they had going on. Place was small but we were told we can sit on their outside patio - great.... until we go out there and the patio was swarmed with bees on all the furniture. I guess drinks were spilled and the attracted a whole swarm of bees, which we let them know about but they didn't seem to care. We waited until we could sit inside and enjoy our food, tacos were okay. We went with a group and were ordering margaritas until one of the women at the counter (she had just gotten to the counter) complained to us and said we were cut off because it was ridiculous and we "wouldn't be able to walk anymore after" she was pretty rude and didn't even know the situation. She said we couldn't just show up and start drinking, she accused us of not even eating there even though we clearly all ordered. Everyone prior to us was ordering 3-4 margaritas at the counter each time but they only cut our group off. This would've been okay if the approach to us was different but they were rude and targeted us for no reason. Another worker came to us and later apologized which we appreciate but we sat in the back room and could hear them talking smack about us as there was clearly just a curtain...

We first went to Poppa’s just to try something new. Then we went back the following day as well! The environment is inviting. The family/staff are courteous and warm.

ENOUGH ABOUT THAT... LET’S GET TO THE FOOD!! OMG!! Did you NOT notice that we went 2 DAYS IN A ROW!!! The food was ridiculous!!! The FIRST DAY we had the 2pc fish and wings! The fish was some of the BEST SWAI I have EVER eaten. Perfectly breaded and seasoned and piping HOT! If you like the taste of catfish... you will LOVE Swai even more. Light, flaky, and tasty with a smooth fish taste. If you ever try it, you will NEVER go back to catfish. The wings were thoroughly cooked and wonderfully season. We also had the chicken salad. You know a salad is good, when you eat it WITHOUT THE DRESSING!!!

The SECOND DAY... well, I will let the picture speak for themselves. If you are near Ledbetter Dart Station, go try Poppa’s ... you will NOT be...

I called my order in. I ordered only a plain cheeseburger (meat & cheese) with the fixings on the side. I sent my spouse to pick the burger up. Upon unwrapping the burger, the burger had no cheese and a bunch of mustard, ketchup, and Mayo that was oozing out of the burger due to being overflowed. My spouse called them to inform them of the burger mishap. He then went to get a replacement burger, that burger had RAW PURPLE ONIONS, MUSTARD, KETCHUP, MAYO, AND AGAIN NO CHEESE.. NOT TO MENTION, THE MEAT WAS EXTREMELY BURNT! I’m not even the type to leave any reviews but this is just ridiculous! I recently had a CSection survey and taking care of a baby who was just released from the NICU.. all I wanted was a plain burger from not being able to eat ALL DAY, LITERALLY!
