Is the Dutch Baby worth it? You've probably seen this item on the menu, and also seen the disclaimer about the extra prep time. If you're anything like me, the Dutch Baby is an item you always considered, but never tried. Well, today, I decided I would finally order one. Overall, it was delicious, but I doubt I'll order it again. As soon as we were seated, I went ahead and asked for the item to be started while my companion looked over the menu for his choice. Honestly, it didn't seem to take much longer than any other items, but if you want one, ordering as soon as you sit is a good idea. The pancake itself was delicious, it was the consistency, flavor, and texture of a few crepes stacked on top of each other, with a little extra fluffiness. As good as it tasted, it wasn't really impressive. There is no way I could have ate anything in addition to the Baby, in fact, I had about 3 bites left that I just couldn't finish. I would have been happier with an omelette, or a combination of items, rather than just one giant pancake. It was way too sweet, I definitely prefer more savory items for breakfast. The Baby was more like a dessert than an entree. If anything, I think it would be a good choice to order one for the table, and everyone can try a bite or two with their other food, but unless you like dessert for breakfast, it will leaving you wanting something more. Perhaps next time, I'll try their other signature item (the apple pancakes). As always, the overall experience didn't disappoint. The staff are experts at handling crowds and the busy volume, so any waiting is made up for by their efficiency. I'll be back, but I don't think I want another baby at the Pancake House.

We were very disappointed with our experience. While the food was absolutely amazing and our server did a fantastic job, unfortunately, we won’t be returning. The atmosphere felt unwelcoming—not because of the staff (they were great), but because of the manager or owner who was present during our visit, which was either last Saturday or Sunday during a late lunch. He was an older gentleman who seemed to be speaking to the staff in a harsh and controlling manner, saying things like “I’m in charge, so what I say goes.” It made both me and my partner very uncomfortable to witness how the team was being treated. To make matters worse, he seemed to be glaring at us and watching us in a way that felt unsettling. It definitely affected the overall vibe of the experience. It’s a shame, because the food was genuinely delicious—the sandwich we ordered was excellent, and the pancakes had a unique, homemade taste that we really enjoyed. We truly wish the environment matched the quality of the meal and the service. We won’t be back, but we hope others have a better experience if they decide to give it a try.

I am so upset at our experience today! I love pancake house but our server was beyond rude to me and my mother. Right off the bat he came up to us, and no hello or how are you doing, no instead he said Drink?? We ordered our coffee and food and didn’t ask us any questions just kept leaving. He didn’t come and check up on us or ask us if we wanted more coffee or waters and when I asked him for more creamer he just nodded and kept leaving when I was mid sentence. What upset me is I noticed how friendly he was to other people and kept checking on them. When he brought us our food, my mom noticed her eggs were raw. I had to call him since he did not like coming to our table. When I did I politely told him the eggs were raw and mid sentence he left again!! Then he took the plate and gave it to another man I’m guessing the manager and said here. I said excuse me but you keep running off and being very rude to us. And he said he's the manager tell him. I was beyond upset I wanted to cry because I have never been treated this way. I told the manager how he was being and apologized and agreed that the server he kept running off. The server never apologized but after did refill our coffee. I don’t know what me and my mother did to him for him to act this way. Other than we are Hispanic which I hate to insinuate he was discriminating us. This is the only time I’ve been to a restaurant where I had to keep myself...

I'm a togo customer and don't really have time to sit and eat. The guy with the dreads i believe his name is KP i call him chicago. This guy is amazing his customer service is out of this world. I've stopped in while it was busy and while it was slow. He placed my order with great accuracy read it back to me and we had a small talk while my order was being prepared which made me feel welcomed which is very big to me my order was spot on i had everything i needed. This guy engagement or interactions with his fellow employees and other guest is remarkable you guys are grateful to have him also i wanted to know if he is a manager or lead at this location, reason being I've had problems before with my previous orders and the GM rollin has no clue as to what he's doing but chicago took good care of me, i also see he's a problem solver not only for his fellow employees but the guest as well. If he is in management he's going places, if he isn't you guys seriously need to promote this guy or i can take him and he can work for me (lbvs) but overall i love the pancake house all the amenities the delicious food and the hospitality. I'll for sure be back for the food and the EXCELLENT...
