New Vietnamese coffee place in a new plaza area. The matcha is on point and tastes smooth. I got the matcha latte with black sesame foam and a strawberry matcha latte with taro foam. Also got 2 Vietnamese iced coffees one with egg custard foam and one with black sesame foam. Their black sesame foam is very weak, the sesame flavor doesn't pull through. I wouldn't get it for any drink since you can't even taste it. The egg custard was great with the Vietnamese coffee, and I suspect it would be great with the matcha too. The taro foam was good and I could taste the taro, but the strawberry matcha on its own was already strong in strawberry flavor so the taro doesn't pull through but I think it'd pair very well with a coffee. The Vietnamese coffee was strong but not overpowering. I would definitely come back and recommend them to anyone. Update: got the Vietnamese coffee with taro foam and coconut foam. The coconut foam is strong and I LOVE IT with the coffee. Absolutely my favorite. The taro foam is also great and a good pair. Also got the blueberry matcha and a matcha latte with taro foam. The blueberry matcha was pretty tart, not too big of a fan but the taro with matcha combination was great. Update: went back and tried the black sesame foam on a Vietnamese coffee and it's amazing. They updated/changed the recipe of their black sesame foam and now the taste/flavor is there which is great. They e become one of my favorite Vietnamese coffee locations in the...
Read moreI’m a huge fan and supporter of Vietnamese coffee shops so I was excited to try out Vieti on their Grand Opening day.
Drinks - I got the Vietnamese Coffee with Taro cold foam and Strawberry Matcha Latte. Both lacked flavor.
Vietnamese coffee with taro cold foam - based on the light colors, I could tell it was going to lack flavor. Both the Viet coffee and the taro needed to be stronger because in the end, it was really hard to taste the Vietnamese coffee flavor and I couldn’t taste the taro at all when mixed. A good example of a perfect balance of flavors are Tea Daddy’s Viet coffees with cold foam.
Strawberry Match Latte - good fresh strawberry flavor but it overpowered the matcha.
Location - the location is a bit random. It’s in a remolded strip mall in Northwest Dallas, close to the Lovefield airport. There’s not much foot traffic there, especially with lots of vacancy.
Interior aesthetic - clean and sleek modern look. There are 3 square tables for sitting and working. Might not be a lot of space for anyone who wants to study.
Overall, it’s better for the non-Vietnamese palate and a good way to introduce Vietnamese...
Read moreWell something curious happened to me this morning, I had gone other times to buy my matcha drink other times and the guy who served me has always been very kind to me and even recommended new foam flavors ... but this morning this girl served me and I felt very hostile with me, first I asked her about her coffee specialty but she was very rude, that's how I felt, the usual guy got into the conversation explaining to me kindly, he told me how much it was and I paid, then he left he didn't give me my number or anything, the people in front of me had given them a number, he just put my croissant and my coffee without saying anything, other numbers were called before me, I had to approach the counter if that was my order and the guy kindly said yes, I don't know what's wrong with the girl, the truth is I felt very rude, it's okay if you don't want to talk to me just ask someone else to do it for you, sometimes the workers ruin people's businesses and I really liked that coffee place with their foam...
