Wimpy’s Famous Burgers — Restaurant in Dallas

So, the internet has just about everything wrong in their description of this place. It is a drive up and order window ONLY place and no indoor or outdoor area to eat or sit. There is a table chained to the building but no chairs. The scenery is zero so it’s probably best to eat in your car or take home if you live nearby. The service is great. They tell burger has mayo & mustard plus, l, t, pickles & onions. I said no mayo but got it anyway. Despite that it was excellent and so were Onion Rings. They also give you napkins, ketchup, salt & pepper. (Which is a bonus for me-since no one else does). Order was quick and hot and served in non styrofoam containers if dig the environmental stuff. I took a gamble & came from Arlington on a Monday even though internet said they were closed and no one answered phones. Luckily they were open and building says open 7 days a week. Ok so a little backstory. I have seen this place ever since I went to school at Thomas Edison / Dallas environmental science academy back in 96-98. I have never eaten there till yesterday. The first thing I asked the older lady and younger man was if they were there during that time. She told me they owned it for the last 20 years but overall the business was there for like 70 years or so.

So we arrived almost around the time they closed and we got the bacon cheeseburger basket. The fries were fresh as well as the lettuce tomatoes etc. The burger overall was decent towards the end the bun had absorbed the juice so it started falling apart which wasn't a bad thing, seemed like it tasted better that way. If I could give this place 0 stars I would. I’m beginning to think their reviews are based on biased opinions like their own family members.

Their food was just nasty! I ordered a cheeseburger that was incredibly soggy. Seems like they dipped the bun in water and gave it to me. Secondly, the fries weren’t even fully cooked all the way. And finally, there were two older ladies that were incredibly rude the minute I approached their window to order. Really nasty place with horrible customer service.
