Quisqueya Deli & Market — Restaurant in Danbury

I ate here today with my husband. This was a random choice on the way to somewhere else. The bathroom was VERY VERY clean and just coming off of the road, I truly appreciated this. There are sturdy and comfortable tables and chairs and the door was open to a nice breeze with fans. Everybody was friendly. The food was good! Even though the avocados were not ripe enough to serve, I truly enjoyed my breakfast burrito without them. The burrito was really satisfying and made with care. My husband enjoyed his ham and cheese. Also, the prices were great. I saw on Google that the name of the place, Quisqueya, means “cradle of life" -- I felt the deep vibe of this open hearted place as soon as I walked in. I hope I can happen by again. PS: The thing with avocados not being ripe enough to serve has happened many other places this year -- it's just a thing that is happening...

Placed an order thru DDash. It arrived quite quickly.....must have been because they didn't bother cooking my Cuban. I swear it was put in the Panini press just to make the lines on the bread. No grill marks, The bread wasn't even toasted. The cheese was not melted. The ham was cold. Yellow American, isn't it supposed to be Swiss? The tostones had no salt..,. Come on everyone knows you salt food immediately after it's done frying. Never again. And by the way, we ordered a Chimi as well and it was hot when it arrived. Someone just didn't bother to...

Service was extremely slow, and the checked out 2 people ahead of me , food was garbage , I do not recommend this place . The server made a mistake with my order and instead of putting the meat aside he simply tossed it back into tray 🤢🤮. Part of my order which was a sandwich was simply tossed in containers.
