Golden Skillet — Restaurant in Danville

My husband and I stopped to gas up on our way back to NC, when I discovered Golden Skillet. I told my husband I wanted to try it and he kinda gave me the side eye, but nonetheless I like trying new restaurants when we’re out of town. I walk in and I’m greeted by two very nice young employees, however an older female employee was not as friendly. I don’t wanna say it’s because my skin is brown but I feel that way. My husband walks in to check on me and he gets the same look from the older female employee and gives me the eye like baby I told you. She takes my payment for the black berry cobbler that was suggested to me and she literally acted like she didn’t want to touch me or my credit card. My food was Delicious and I wish I could give them a 5 star for service but I just can’t. Maybe I will visit a different...

Traveling through Danville. One night stay The golden skillet was a positive experience in this town. We came as they were closing almost they were courteous courteous helpful and and made us food to go.. The food was good food literally they were closing in 15 minutes yet they made the best Burger my husband said he had ever eaten and bacon lettuce and tomato sandwich was fresh I don't know how they did that but it was fresh what's fresh So 5 star review for the golden skillet for food ,courtesy, And friendliness. And to the young man that waited on us my husband said you should great professionalism by smiling and telling us I'll take your order even they were closing soon The only thing he would change about this place is they need to have beer laugh out loud Add milk. We wish continued success to all in this...

Made a special trip from the Chatham restaurant since it was closed today, to the Danville restaurant because I hadn't had a meal from the Golden Skillet in a while. Spent almost $19 for a box of chicken livers & gravy and a box of chicken gizzards. They were both horrible. My mom explained that her livers were bitter and my gizzards were so over cooked, my jaw popped from trying to eat one of them; hopefully we don't get sick behind it. We both gave up and called it a bust for these wasted meals. Needless to say, I'll "never" visit that location again...... TOTALLY DISAPPOINTED and a waste of money and the extra gas for the trip. The one star rating on the food was being generous; the survey should have a choice for an "F" rating....
