L T Evans Eatery & Drafthouse — Restaurant in Danville

It was lousy. Don't know if it's the whole Covid thing or what? 3 weeks ago ordered a Grilled Ruben and it was not hot at all. Heck, the french fries luke warm! Ate there yesterday with a buddy from out of town and remembers always getting a good meal there. I ordered the Shrimp Alfredo and he ordered the NY Strip med/rare. While waiting, the booth in front of me? Called the waiter over. Their chicken was raw, raw! A cook came to their table an apologized, couldn't believe it was that raw also!! Offered if he could make them something else, or get them pretzel. Customer was very nice, polite an understanding with the situation. I'm thinking "Not Good!" but they'll be on there toes now and ours should definiatly be hot. Unfortunately, it wasn't. My shrip were grilled, but warm and were lying on barely luke warm Alfredo Pasta. My Garlic bread was hot and toasted and the beast thing on my plate. I ened up eating shrimp and Garlic bread and left the pasta. The Alfredo Pasra literally tasted room temperature. buddy's NY Steak was slightly brownish color on the outside, and totally raw 94% through out his steak. He said it had good taste but must have been a bad cut and commented it was very raw and nowhere near med/rare. I would have sent it back. It looked horrible. My buddy came from out of town to visit and have a good meal. Totally dissapointed and it will be a very long time since you'll hear me say "Hey, Let's go to LT Evans!". Our waitress was super nice, helpful, and friendly. Just to many bad experiences with the food...

Updated review, 5 stars: Lauren was our server this time. She was fantastic. Got every single detail right with the order. We sat outside on a beautiful late summer day and had burgers and wings. My vote is definitely for the burgers but other person really liked the wings. The onion straws are fabulous, way better than your standard onion ring. Lauren's attitude was so pleasant and cheerful she makes me want to come back again soon. We also ended up in friendly conversations with other diners while there, which was a really nice touch to the whole experience. Will definitely return, esp when it's nice enough to eat outside!

Original review, 4 stars: Our server was Sarah who seemed a little bit in a hurry but paid enough attention to us and remembered everything we asked for, so that tells me she really knows how to handle this job. My shrimp fajitas came out still sizzling, the way they are supposed to get to a table, so I was really happy about that! The taste was good but they could calm down on the salt in it. My partner got the shrimp alfredo and it was really good, unfortunately they served it with the garlic bread on the same plate so it got soaked in the sauce, making it really soggy and undesirable. 😢 Overall a positive dining experience and I would definitely come again but I will choose a table outside that has the solid seats instead of the grates I sat on that my skin stuck to on this hot day! Or I'll wear long...

I'm happy to contribute my review for this restaurant. Since I'm all about first impressions, I'll start off with the staff being very polite and proving customer service still exists. 👌

For this order we got 12 wings, mac & cheese, a side salad and onion straws. Photos provided.

Side salad came with the house dressing which is Bleu Cheese and italian: fresh salad mix and veggies. Great way to start the meals.

Onion Straws: these definitely taste handmade/breaded, the dipping sauce reminds me of a New Orleans style cajun remoulade. This experience can't get any better, right?? Nope, we have our second home-run coming up.

Wings: I like my wings more well done than most places traditionally serve. I didn't request them to be cooked like that, but they still managed to come through with a huge win. Wings are huge and appropriately priced.

Mac & Cheese: why are you consistently hitting home-runs with everything? The combinations of cheese and pasta (served with garlic bread) created some nice pulls and stretches, providing a quality cheese with macaroni is an instant grand slam.

Overall, I'm looking forward to my next visit because these 5 stars should be 6 stars across the board. Very impressive for my first order AND takeout.

Service, quality, portions and pricing: can't get any better than...
