Let's be honest, folks. Sometimes, life throws you curveballs. Sometimes, your dog eats your favorite shoes. And sometimes, you just NEED a pizza the size of a small car. That's where OIP in Danville, PA, comes in with their magnificent XL Stuffed Meat Lover's Pizza.
This isn't just pizza, people. It's a culinary monument. A testament to the sheer deliciousness of meat and cheese. I'm pretty sure historians will unearth this pizza someday and declare it a national treasure. I mean, it's so packed with toppings, it's practically a food group of its own. This thing had me singing "That's Amoré" by Dean Martin.
The crust? GET OUTTA HEEEEERE 🤌🤌 It's like a golden, crispy hug for all that glorious filling. It's so strong, it could probably hold up a small bridge.
And the stuffing? FUGHETTA BOUT IIIIIT🤌 It's like a meaty piñata of flavor. I'm pretty sure they threw in a few extra "secret" ingredients, like pure, unadulterated joy and a few dashes of love. It's a symphony of savory goodness that will leave you questioning all your previous life choices (in a good way).
Now, this pizza is a commitment. It's not a "light snack." It's a "call your family, tell them you love them, and prepare for a food coma" kind of meal. My son and I shared this and we still have leftovers for breakfast, lunch, and dinner the next day. Don't judge me. I have no regrets. OIP Danville, you've created a masterpiece. A culinary Everest. A meaty Mount Rushmore of deliciousness.
Pro-Tip: Wear your stretchy pants. And maybe invest in a forklift. You've been warned. Now go forth and conquer that pizza! You won't regret it. Unless you're a vegetarian. Then, maybe stick to the salad. (But seriously, try the pizza.)
5 solid stars across the board for everything, including the delivery driver. He showcased professionalism and patience when removing this beast from his heat bag....
Read moreMy friend and I recently dined in for lunch at this restaurant while on a trip. We’re both from out of town and were looking for a nice pizza place to eat at. Upon entering, we found a relatively clean and spacious dine in area. We were the only customers dining in throughout our whole time at the restaurant. We were immediately greeted by a friendly lady behind the counter who had it sit wherever we’d like. There were 4 other servers seated in the back of the restaurant talking and hanging out. None of them acknowledged us or greeted us, but rather looked at us and continued talking to one another. A friendly young man greeted us and was our server. He was the only server in the building who appeared to be actually working. My friend and I ordered our food, which was served quickly. Everything was very good and the amount of food was very plentiful given the cheap prices. Throughout our lunch, our server was very professional and attentive and went out of his way to make sure we were taken care of and enjoying our meal. The other 4 servers continued to sit and talk throughout our entire time in the restaurant. 2 young girls who appeared to be high school aged servers were talking rather loud and obnoxiously the entire time we were in the restaurant. The other 2 adult servers told them to quiet down multiple times, but it didn’t stop their unprofessional behavior and obnoxious talking and laughing. It made my friend and I rather uncomfortable when we were trying to enjoy our lunch, but were overhearing obnoxious conversations and laughing. Besides for the overall atmosphere of the place, I’d say it is a safe bet for a quick...
Read moreFood is decent. Never would complain about that, service is sub par. I have gone in several times since covid 19 and multiple times i have seen employees not wearing masks. Not just cooks but people working the counter as well. I am a cook myself in a kitchen with no AC ive worked summers in a kitchen with temperatures up to 110 degrees. I understand those pizza ovens are hot as hell, but i am still cooking through this pandemic too and at my resturant we all keep our mask on, front and back of house. Its a global pandemic amd you're serving food. I had another recent experience that is the main reason for my complaint, i was on a lunch break and only had a half hour to eat, i tried to order at the register to expedite the process was asked to take a seat and told a server would be right with me. I was one of three tables there at the time with what seemed two different servers on the floor, i sat for 15 minutes without a table touch, with half my break already over i decided to leave. I understand they do alot of take out so they might be more slammed then it would seem in the dinning room. Just after all the incidents i am highly dissatisfied. Like I said i have worked in this industry for almost 9 years, i have received much more trivial complaints, so i would hold other establishments to the same standards as myself. No hard feelings. Just asking for...
