The staff are extremely friendly and the location is great. The Establishment is nicely decorated creating a nice positive environment. My husband and I dined in for breakfast and noticed it was a very limited menu which can be a good thing if the food quality is really good. They do not let you add anything to your meal so if you order say a waffle or french toast you can't pay extra to get an egg or two on the side which is not a deal breaker but just good for people to know ahead of time. I ordered the French toast and for me personally it was inedible. The center of it was very dry and the toppings were sickly sweet. My husband's waffle was assembled similarly with an overwhelming amount of sickly sweet topping. For me personally, a well-made french toast or waffle doesn't really require a whole lot extra. The waffle might have been edible if the toppings are on the side but for the French toast it wouldn't have mattered. They did have some breakfast burritos on their menu so there were a a few Savory choices, but I'm mainly found the menu selections a bit odd and overpriced for what was received but that is kind of most places at this point in...
Read moreJust left Nana Karen's on Main. I woke up to a plate of food on my table. I fell asleep waiting for my order. I was awakened by the diners next to me. So I asked the young lady who was serving patrons how long had the food been there? She replied a few minutes. After which the friendly daughter let diners know the 45 minute wait time. This being my first time there I waited for the opportunity to ask for a to go box. It never came. So I asked if I could have one. I left a tip anyway. And as I turned to leave I heard her lying to the rest of the staff how she served me and checked on me WHICH SHE DID NOT DO, and to add insult to injury she smirked he's gone anyway. I said loudly no I'm not. Then she asked the staff what is he waiting for? I appreciated the maturity of the daughter who was dealing with far more chaos than the other woman who was busy cleaning in between orders rather than checking on specifically me. She refilled drinks around me but NEVER addressed me as far as I know. But I was treated to an unexpected nap while I waited for...
Read moreWe stopped in while in the area and tried out their waffles. We were hoping for breakfast but just missed the time as they had started lunch. The waffles were amazing, and could be ordered in the restaurant or at the connected shop next door which was the actual waffle shop. The banana pudding cheesecake was delicious, not too much cheesecake, but that didn't take away from it in the least. The monte cristo waffle was great, and equally satisfying! The shop was a bit eclectic, you could see there was a story there, and the rest of the shop seemed a bit unfinished. I'm no stranger to eclectic shops however, and their food is great, so it's definitely worth a stop if you're...
