Disappointing Experience and Unacceptable Service at Pizza Hut (3125 Riverside Dr, Danville, VA) Date of Visit: July 15, 2025 (Evening)
I am writing to express my extreme dissatisfaction with the service I received today at the Pizza Hut located at 3125 Riverside Dr, Danville, VA 24541. My experience was incredibly frustrating and a complete waste of my time.
I placed an online order and was given a pick-up time of 20 minutes. Believing this, I arrived at the store approximately 30 minutes after placing my order, expecting it to be ready or nearly ready. To my dismay, I was informed by the staff that "the time online is never correct" and that I would need to wait an additional 40 minutes to an hour on top of the 30 minutes I had already waited and traveled to the store. This dismissive attitude regarding their own online system's accuracy is unacceptable and shows a complete disregard for a customer's time.
Feeling utterly disappointed and unwilling to wait an additional hour for an order that was already significantly delayed, I requested to cancel my order. The staff initially resisted, and when I asked to speak with a manager, the situation only worsened. The manager told me he would simply "put my receipt on top of a pile to be canceled tonight" because he "didn't have time" to do it immediately.
I firmly stated that I needed the order canceled now and required a receipt of the cancellation. After an infuriating argument that lasted approximately 15 minutes, the manager, with clear reluctance, finally processed the cancellation. What was most aggravating was that the entire cancellation process took him literally only 30 seconds to complete. This highlights a deliberate unwillingness to assist a customer rather than a genuine lack of time.
This level of disrespect for a customer's time and the blatant disregard for service quality is appalling. I will never order from this Pizza Hut location again, and I strongly advise others to consider their options before enduring such a...

One thin crust pepperoni..not hard..right..you'd think..Burnt around edges..pepperoni dried out,you pick up a slice and it was hard as could be. Second one..A cheesy bite's pizza..crust dry and hard. No cheese in the bites pizza itself was dry hard and you could hardly bite in to it. I also ordered bread sticks...which was so hard you broke a piece in half and it crumbled..I called back and complained ,they sent out another order..and it was worse. Forgot the breadsticks and went back for them and they were the same. I had my two granddaughters in for the weekend and finally fixed them sandwiches ,they wouldn't eat the pizzas either. I spent 40.00 on this experience and what an experience it was. I have fummed over this for a week. This has been the worst pizza meal that I've never had. And both times it took over an hour to get my bad pizzas and I live less than 3 miles away. I tried calling back the second time and they wouldn't answer my phone. Caller ID..I called from my Neice phone and they answered..imagine..said they'd have manager call me..But I guess once they got my 40.00 for two pizzas to hell with me. Ordered on app at 740pm, arrived at restaurant around 8pm, app said food was READY at 820pm, worker said pizza hadnt even been put in oven, didn't receive order until almost 9pm and it was wrong! Missing a topping which I paid for. Worker confirmed that it was wrong but knew I wasn't willing to wait any longer. The employee working the counter was doing his best handling upset customers but there is seriously something wrong with this pizza hut! The entire time I sat there, they had numerous encounters with other unhappy customers. At first I was slightly amused by the circus, then concerned by their incompetence, and then as angry as others when after all that time patiently and quietly waiting - they still got it wrong. I should have left but I was too invested and they had told another customer that they werent authorized to do refunds when she demanded her money back. You were authorized to TAKE the money though!?!?
THERE IS SERIOUSLY SOMETHING WRONG WITH THIS PIZZA HUT!!!
20min north is another pizza hut that has their business together and functions like it should. I'll be going there if and when we do pizza hut again. Papa John's or a mom & pop place next time the family...
