2 Sisters Panini — Restaurant in Daphne

I made a DoorDash order. Well, I kept watching it and the time and finally once my order never got picked up I called the 2sisters and told the lady on the other end that I don’t know why my order hasn’t been picked up. She also had no answer when other dashers were walking in and picking up the orders that came in after mine. I couldn’t get through to DoorDash on my end so she took the time to help me figure out what was going on and why we my order wasn’t getting picked up. Make a longer story short a dasher finally was on the way to the restaurant to grab my food. Instead of sending me that old food that had been sitting there for almost an hour she so nicely offered to make me fresh if I still wanted the order. Well, just when I thought I’d try their new location and give them a second chance; honestly I couldn’t remember why we stopped going to the Fairhope location when we live so close; I remembered: Only this place could figure out how to screw up a bagel with cream cheese. First they microwave it so it’s inedible, then they burn it on a panini press (weird), and wrap it to-go, because I asked for it to-go; I know, shocking right? But wait for it, as you’re driving away imagine finding a tiny cup of cream cheese and plastic knife in the bag as if to say, “Hey, I know you’re driving, and only have two hands, and you asked for it to-go, and we charged you three dollars, but here, make it yourself!” I even tipped a dollar before I realized the impending buyer’s remorse, so I guess you can say I got “smeared” for 4 bucks. The sandwiches were a 3, not knock your socks, off not horrible. The favor combos are good. The women working there, I’m not sure if they are “the sisters” or not but don’t seem to be happy. The blonde one never smiled not once and just stared at us while we were trying to decide. She seemed like she literally hated her job. Didn’t ask any questions or make any suggestions as to what we may like. The atmosphere was extremely quiet making us feel like we had to keep our children quiet as well as speak quietly ourselves. And a whole fountain machine that is out of order which looks very tacky in the rather nice space they have for dining.
