Stopped here to get food before going to see our diabetic grandmother for the first time in several years (out of state military). We waited for 12 min in line before even getting to order. Once we ordered we understood why. We get up to the cash register and start ordering. The YOUNG girl was mumbling, and kept giving us looks like she hated her job. My husband always orders his fries “well done” at every Chick-fil-A we go to. It’s just crispy..this young gal took about 7 seconds to make several faces before saying “I’ve never had someone request that.” Which is FINE but save the faces.
We waited 20 minutes to get our food (takeout), and when we did, we were missing a ton of food. I went to take my receipt to get help with this, and waited 2-3 minutes and stood there looking stupid because every attempt to get someone’s attention was ignored. Mind you, my grandmother plans her meals so she knows how much insulin to take. Not a super long wait to some is minutes on the timer for diabetics and they can get super sick quickly. This location is FULL of young people unable to pay attention to the job they’re getting paid for. They stood around gossiping and one guy (while I was waiting to ask for the rest of our food) was literally talking about how his belt fits his pants.. in front of customers.. handling food.. right after messing with his belt and jeans. That’s odd IMO and while I understand it’s fast food and cultural differences are common to run into as a military family, let me assure you.. Chick-fil-A has never forgotten our food, or allowed their employees to gossip instead of help customers when they have a wrap around line of vehicles and a line in store, and we’ve been to locations ALL over the country. First one in all our travel who couldn’t handle taking orders or giving out all the food without huffing and rolling eyes.
Just know what to expect when you get here. Go to the one 3.5 miles up the highway east of here. Much quicker location, and much...
Read moreChick-fil-A rocks! However, many locations seem to be lax in practicing the values of exceptional service and providing quality food. Straight talk - - this location is hit or miss in both categories. Today, service was very slow and I had the worse breakfast burrito since the item's inception. It would be fair to describe what I had as a shredded soft tortilla in a sloppy breakfast taco form. First time I have ever given a CFA location less than 4 stars. I have never publicly shared anything negative about any location. I've been been a raving fan from my first bite. However, it was not just today. One night (recently), the team member sneezed in her hand a few times as she was fixing desserts for my family with my daughter's cone in one hand and our milkshake cup in another (no handwashing, btw). I have three free shakes that I am due (I haven't "redeemed") related to a prior major issue in the making of our MILKshakes. Other food and service shortcomings, too ... blah, blah, blah. Suffice to say that I used to frequent this location 2 - 6 times each week - - now 2 - 4 each month. Seriously, a raving fan! I've eaten at CFA in 40 states and nearly 40 grand openings. More visits than most owner operators. I could brag about many locations and I think highly of the Cathy family. Service is no longer king at a growing number of locations and the almighty bottom dollar with the hope of multisite ownership is quickly replacing the goal of second mile service with a sincere "my pleasure" response. Hey, I'll probably will be there tomorrow ... at some location!...
Read moreI have been coming to this Chik-fil-A for over 10 years. I can’t believe that the current service model is working for anyone. I’m not referring to service during COVID peak times, this is May 2022. I have waited no less than 20-30 minutes to pick up orders that I order in advance through the app the last few times I’ve ordered. Currently, I have been sitting here for 25 minutes in drive thru and am still 4 cars back from the window waiting for an order that I paid for in advance through the app (if I hadn’t paid, I would be out of here already). This has been going on for a really long time with this location. Chick-fil-A corporate needs to let another franchise open in Fairhope or another in Daphne or both. Either way, this is my last time visiting this location after all these years. We’ve had birthday parties here over the years and many, many meals. I’ve noticed that it is not as crowded as it used to be (even though it takes longer than ever) which is a sign that others may be frustrated too. We love this restaurant and I’m sad to leave it. Update: got home and our order was incorrect and there were zero sauces included. My past three orders...
