What was supposed to be a family dinner that I had anticipated on all week turn into the most ridiculous nightmare I've ever experienced at a restaurant. I absolutely love the food here and tell everyone about this place especially if they want to try pad thai which is the best in all Baldwin county! We have been here a handful of times we even had the same waitress once or twice. Ella I believe is her name . We completed our order and nibbled on some appetizers while we waited on our food! Our food came out and my husband immediately noticed he was missing a meat in his fried rice and said something ( also saying it was ok just make sure he isn't charged for the extra meat on the bill ) and that was it IN NO WAY WAS HE RUDE OR UPSET ABOUT IT . She walked away. As soon as she walked away I realized me and my daughter had 2 entire entrees that we didn't even order. It was dinner time and they were busy so we just assumed we had got another tables food . So we waited for our waitress to come back . We waited and waited and after 10 minutes or so we were starting to notice she wasn't even in the building 🤦♀️We were left a little confused 🤔 we weren't mad or upset just wanted to get the right order because I wanted pad thai not fried rice 😬 FAST FORWARD ( we were told by the waitress who gave us our bill that Miss Ella had got overwhelmed and very upset because my husband was rude to her ) so this explains why we were invited and met with rudeness our entire time ( mind you my husband only mentioned the missing meat we hadn't even been able to mention our entire table minus 2 plates were COMPLETELY WRONG . I THINK MISS ELLA REALIZED OUR ORDER WAS WRONG COMPLETELY AND RAN OUTSIDE EMBARRASSED OR WHAT HAVE YOU INSTEAD OF APOLOGIZING BUT COVERED HER BEHIND BY TELLING THE STAFF WE WERE RUDE TO HER 🤦♀️ She did finally come back in the restaurant as we were finishing up and not once came to our table . NO ONE EVER APOLOGIZED FOR OUR TROUBLES . My husband asked if they could kindly remove an appetizer just as an apology and again were met with RUDENESS. I was very hurt by the way we were treated as if we did something wrong . Food was amazing as always but Ella and her 2 sidekicks need to do better. As someone who has over 20 years experience in food industry and customer service you should never never make your customers feel so horrible as we did . Shame on you teak house for allowing these type of servers to work at your establishment. I hope my next experience is not this and I hope no one else has to experience...

I am happy to say that the new building is a VAST improvement over the previous one. The new restaurant was very clean and the food was excellent! I highly recommended the orange curry! The service was polite and attentive. Be aware though that if you order soda it will be delivered in a plastic bottle and refills are not free.
The atmosphere was aesthetically pleasing however it was once again tarnished by inappropriate and irritating background music. At least to the establishment’s credit, the volume was lower. I say once again that NO ONE comes to an ETHNIC restaurant to listen to LiteMix radio complete with commercials. Why not Thai music? Why not instrumental music? You loose a star for this.
Overall, I would certainly eat here again but would also seriously consider takeout so I don’t have to put up with the crappy radio station.

A Third World Dining Experience.
It is thankfully, not very often that I leave a restaurant with the desire to take a bath, but that was certainly the case after eating here. It was uncomfortably warm, every surface was covered in a thick layer of dust, there were mysterious brown drippy stains on the wall, the table was sticky and I mean VERY sticky and everything that sat on the table: the salt and pepper shakers, the soy sauce bottle, the “wine list,“ everything was covered in a sticky thick film. The sweat from my plastic beverage glass left behind a milky white translucent liquid as it loosened the ick on the table. The air conditioning system was dripping ice cold condensation on the floor and customers. The wait staff while friendly was running around as though they were woefully undermanned and therefore working under immense pressure. The food was fresh, hot, and reasonably tasty, but any accolade that could be given to the food is overshadowed by the overall filth of the establishment. The music was low quality, tinny, and not in the least enjoyable. If I wanted to listen to top 40 I would turn on the radio. Is there no Thai music that could be used as background in a Thai themed dining establishment? To the ownership I would say look around you. Read moreStarted out fine until our order came out wrong for 3 of the 5 plates Said something about one but also let it go because I would have been fine with it so long as the bill was adjusted properly Then after the waitress left my wife and stepdaughter said their plates were wrong as well. Then ensued a series of waits, the first waitress left entirely for over half an hour, we tried getting assistance from 2 other waitresses and the hostess. Received ample amounts of attitude and condescension from the older waitress, Had to call a waitress over for refills multiple times, got our proper order finally over an hour after getting there, only to have bland food and poorly made plates with more garnishment than veggies on each plate. After the first waitress left and we were left wondering why... Because we were just wanting a correction at the time, not trying to be mean to her. Just point out a mistake and have it fixed. We felt ignored by the entire staff and had to constantly ask for service Fast forward to the end to get the bill, expecting an apology, or a discount for our troubles, we were met with a full bill and more attitude than we deserved. I'm beyond angry and appalled that the older woman wouldn't even let me finish talking about the experience before she repeatedly cut me off and finally walked away. Worst experience at any restaurant I've ever been to. Doubt I'll ever try them again while that older waitress works there. It's sad because I normally liked this restaurant Interesting how the owner of the restaurant was given out numbers to speak to us directly and never called, but wants to bash us Disappointing, I had hoped we had only met bad eggs for employees. Now we know the entire establishment is rotten to the core. Teak House owner, in response to your constant bashing... You say I'm continuing? How am I continuing? I have given a review and it's not continued... Secondly sir, I rather enjoyed this restaurant for many years before and after the building move/change Your waitresses and hostess were the problem, not the food. I don't care for free food. I care about respect and courtesy, your staff have 0 of either. Not to mention being there for over 2 hours...
