3rd time eating here and first review. This is another shake your hand back and forth and squeal ‘mehhhhhh’. The food for what it is, is pretty good but it took so blame long to get it. The service here is like pulling teeth, had to keep looking for the waitress every time you wanted something. The drinks were adequate and I did not detect a bottle mix so it could have been a good sweet and sour mix made in the kitchen. Strangely enough I have chided mexican restaurants before about the ingredients in a margarita and I still can’t believe that I mix a better margarita at the house 98% of the time. I would assume that this restaurant is a combination of two old buildings joined together, it has a real cut up look to it , more like a feed store with a room here and a room there with a strange hallway here and there but who knows , we’re in a small town that has seen better days. The pricing here is really reasonable and quantities are massive. We were there on a Saturday night about 6 ish and it was not busy at all. I would suggest that this be a B list choice for you or maybe a good to go place. I believe they offer a drive thru window. Anyway I hope your luck is better than ours with the service. Please see my pics.

Seven (7) years ago I first ate at Tarascos and gave it a rave 5-star review. Man even five (5) years ago it was top notch! The fish tacos, salsa, etc could not be beat. Today however was the most horrendous meal I've had in a while! Flautas were small cubed chicken mixed with bag cheese and tasted as if they were fried and then allowed to soak in grease! Oh my it was NASTY! Move on to the Molcajete, same greasy mess combined with tasteless meat that was not only thin but like the questionable veggies it was all cooked into oblivion. Seriously check out the container, a fourth an inch of grease on top and a sight of the meat designed to work out your jaw and question what in the heck you're eating! Perhaps if it was the chicken and steak Molcajete as I ordered it would have been better? Let's not forget the half filled salsa bowl, beans with the same premixed cheese half melted on top (was cold and chunks below), small serving of rice, pre-dried tortillas, and stale chips! I'm glad it was takeout so I didn't have to waste my time on this travesty inside, but sadly I feel $32 was stolen from me and all I did was take their garbage away from them!

We waited about 35 minutes for our food, we finished our chips and our waitress comes to ask us if we need anything before we even get our food. After the second time I had to ask for a refill for our chips.. The pico served with our cheese dip tasted like theyd almost had it. When we got our food, my tortillas were so chewy it was hard to tear off a bite. Something in my food crunched and crumbled in an unsatisfactory way..and I have no idea what it was, but I'm pretty sure nothing was supposed to crunch like that. Weirdly enough, as good as the food LOOKED, I felt like it was lacking in flavor, which is not normal for me when it comes to most food. The cheese dip was absolutely bomb though, I could eat 50 bowls of it no problem. I didn't complain because of my social anxiety and respect of the servers feelings, but I won't be going back..

A friend of mine took me and another person out to lunch here. He bragged about how good the food was, he said it was the best Mexican food around. We ordered our food and when it arrived it was possibly the worst I've ever seen. My friend ordered fajitas and when he got his plate it was literally cold. The other person ordered a rib platter and it looked like beef jerky it was so dried out. I ordered chicken tacos which came with beans and rice. The taco shells were right out of a box and the chicken was very dry. When the waitress did come over my friend told her that his food was cold and she might want to mention it to the cook. Instead of doing the right thing and trying to make her customer happy, she defended the situation by telling him "it's because of the way you ordered it. You ordered the lunch plate not the dinner plate." I'm no professional food critic or anything but I have never in my life been served or been with anyone else who has been served cold fajitas. They are usually steaming hot and can be smelled throughout the restaurant as they carry them to your table. Worst "authentic" Mexican food experience ever, I would not recommend eating here. I did eat some of the food because I was hungry and well that was the only lunch I was going to get. Thirty minutes later my stomach was upset and continued to be into the night. I don't know where or why our visit went south but I wouldn't think it to be worth a bad review potentially losing customers. If the owner was present and this took place well then I would say good luck to you with the future of your business. If the owner is only learning about this through reading this review I hope you are able to fix the negative and nastiness of service we as paying customers at your establishment was provided so your future patrons don't endure this. As for myself, I will not be returning to or recommending...
