Shokuji Sushi — Restaurant in Darien

This sushi and japanese snacks shop is definitely a hidden gem in the neighborhood. The sushi is definitely fresh and not the same as those other mass-produced sushi restaurants. They are getting their sources from Toyosu market in japan!!!! The freshness of their sushi is beyond comparison to the generic sushi joint. Their staff is super nice and friendly and the shop is neat and clean. What a find!! Just hope that they can expand the menu a bit more but it seem like they just recently opened so im sure it will be even better. I can't wait to go back!...

Great new place! Takeout only but extremely high quality fish, imported from Tokyo. The owners make their own seasoned soy sauce and that unique umami pairing gives everything a huge boost in flavor. Our favorite was the marinated scallop but everything we had was delicious. Also beautiful decor - check out the two handmade paper koi on top of the fridge! We bought sushi rolls and donburi. They serve with high quality fish and the rice well seasons. Their fish from Tokyo. Nice and fresh.
