I booked the upstairs room for my niece’s birthday party. They moved us downstairs when I specifically asked twice for upstairs. The host, Isabella “Izzy” kept disappearing. I had to go look for her four different times for our order and refills. She went looking for plates for our cake and was gone for 20 mins and was gone for 15 mins for our check, which lead us to go over our 2 hour time slot by a couple minutes. We were charged an additional $25 for the time. She charged us $6 for a pitcher of water that we did not ask for, charged us $50 for 10 kids admissions when we had 3 kids and an infant. When asking her about the pitcher of water, she said well, that’s just how much it costs and rolled her eyes and walked off when I asked to have one of the $6 pitchers removed from our bill for the water and that I would agreed to pay the $25 for going over on our time slot. The manager even agreed that she is not supposed to charge anyone $6 for a pitcher of water.
When we were leaving, she glared at my mom and was talking under her breath on our way out after I had just thanked her. My mom heard her talking about us and my mom asked her what she said. Izzy began to cuss at us and told us “I don’t fing know you! I wasn’t talking to you.” I asked her nicely not to be rude and asked her what we did for her to cuss at us? She responded “Im not being rude. I dont know you! I don’t care. You can gladly go talk to my fing manager. He’s upstairs” I went upstairs and spoke to a kitchen manager, Jeremy. He assured me that he would discuss with Izzy and his GM, Ryan, and call me back on Wednesday, which was three days later. I never got a call. I called and got the assistant manager, James. He was not made aware of the situation. He said he would have the GM call me back the next day when he was in. It’s been a week since the party and I have yet to have my call returned. No one seems to care. I never call back but I didn’t want anyone else being mistreated this way. Izzy seems to have just been trying to add on more to our bill, so her gratuity was higher. We planned on tipping on top of her gratuity per usual. I always book at Happy Joes and have never been treated with such inexcusable behavior. Needless to say, I will not...

Read moreBy far the best indoor jungle gym for kids. It's a great location for birthday parties, especially for kids with winter birthdays (our oldest was born in December) so outdoor parties are out of the question. I just wish their pizza was a bit cheaper. Typically we only get Happy Joe's pizza when we have a coupon (Note: those tend to expire quick and we don't order pizza that often). Unlike other chains that have rewards that build over time Happy Joe's coupons expire within a few weeks/a month. This location does offer a lunch buffet which is great but the Happy Joe's/Rudy's combination in Coal Valley is on the Illinois side where we live and offers a bit more diversity in food that way. They also have a mini golf course behind which is open during the summer months. The pizza is good but for most pizza I still prefer places like Harris. Happy Joe's does excel when it comes to their breakfast pizza, Happy Joe's special and taco pizza hands down though. Those seem to be consistent across all location I've been to or ordered delivery from. The fact they have early morning breakfast pizza delivery had been a life saver on plenty of lazy weekend mornings for the...
