New China Restaurant — Restaurant in Davenport

So Minh gourmet Chinese was closed right by Slagals off Northwest Blvd cause it is Sunday. The best Chinese around. So next time, try them. You will not regret it. Anyways, New China is probably some of the worst Chinese I have had. It reminded me of old Hyvee Chinese food. Let’s start of with they said it would take 50 min to deliver, wich is extremely long to wait for delivery. It took them an 1hr and 15min to deliver. The Mongolian beef was very light brown color with a bunch of red pepper seeds, poor quality fatty beef, and did not taste well at all. The sesame chicken was mainly all batter and barely any chicken. The chicken that was in it was chewy or hard. There was almost no meat in the pork eggrolls. The crab Ragoon had almost no cheese in them which is very disappointing. And the Egg drop soup tasted like hard boiled eggs with no other flavor. I hope the restaurant reads this and fixes this all cause THEY WILL LOOSE MORE CUSTOMERS IF...

My wife and I moved out of Davenport years ago, but throughout the years, we always reminisce, "Hey, remember New China? How we'd eat there every other week and how delicious AND inexpensive it was?" We always wish there was a restaurant like this local to us nowadays, but it's a pipe dream. New China is one of a kind.

My wife and I recently visited the QC area and stopped by to grab a bite here out of nostalgia. Prices are still super agreeable. Food quality is 110%. The family that opened and worked it are still there (it was crazy seeing the son all grown up!).

This restaurant is one in a billion. My wife got her regular order, as did I, and I'm bittersweetly eating my leftovers as I write this. I hope this restaurant sticks around for years to come, and I pray nothing but good things happen to the family who run it. Thank you guys for all the incredible meals over the years! We're sure to order again when we're next...

This restaurant has been my favorite restaurant since they opened! They have all the great customer service you need! And as a old customer like I am, they will always remember my order without even talking to them about what I’m going to order. They food is amazing here, this place is not greasy nor their food is greasy. They always cooked my food perfectly and I’ve always enjoyed. The boss of the restaurant will always come out and ask if there’s anything wrong, and would always help if theres any issues going on. The food in this restaurant I would give 10 /10!!!!
