I'm still not a huge Starbucks fan and almost always prefer a local coffee shop for a hot beverage of my choosing. That being said, I enjoy the consistency between the different Starbucks locations I've visited, including the Middle Road location near my home. After a heavier meal at Red Ginger, I decided a drive down Kimberly to this Starbucks was in order to grab a night cap and dessert before heading home for the evening. Though I've never visited this particular Starbucks, my expectations were fully met by the space. There are tables of standard height and seating, high top table seating, a few more comfy chairs near a fireplace fixture, and the normal assortment of coffee cups, ground and whole coffee, and a case of baked goods and other pre-prepared items. I did not expect any different and was not disappointed - this is indeed a Starbucks. Similar to the last location I visited is the general architecture and decoration of the space, as well. The bare walls in this location are a dull grey/beige, there are two large paintings of stylized coffee or tea plantations that appear to be of an easy Asian styling of some sort mounted on light wood paneling, the walls in the prep area are either a dark blue brick or made to appear that they are composed as such, and the floors are a plain sealed concrete with no other adornment. Similar to so many other newer locations in the Quad Cities, there is no drop ceiling in place with the accent lighting, conduit, and HVAC ductwork and equipment exposed for all to see. Interestingly, in contrast to the Middle Road Starbucks, this ceiling area relies on exposed angle irons and corrugated steel for its structure instead of wood framing. Maybe I'm the only one who finds that interesting...anyhow, it's a difference and I noticed it. As with the other Starbucks I've been to, this one also manages the overall noise level well. Throughout my visit, there was soft Christmas music playing at appropriate level to facilitate quiet study, conversation at a normal level, and other similarly relaxing activities. Keep this up Starbucks - you're doing this aspect of cafe ambiance really well! My one gripe, and it's a small one at that, are the chairs around the fireplace. They are not of the comfort level that the 2-4 comfy chairs in each of you locations should be at. You need more plush chairs -these left my butt pretty uncomfortable upon leaving. As to the consumables I ordered - they were all fine, simply put. I had a lemon loaf cake and, on the advice of the barista, I tried an iced peach green tea lemonade. The drink was fine and the lemon loaf was fine. Probably wouldn't order them together again (sugar on sugar) but they were both excellent. I don't really come by this part of Davenport, so I probably won't return any time soon. Still, my experience during this visit was perfectly fine and I wouldn't avoid this location if I wanted a tea or pastry if in the area. Good job Starbucks, this is a nice store.

This Starbucks is really something else. I've been going there for the last couple months, and always bought the same refresher (small dragon drink, light ice). The problem is, I am never charged the same price for the exact same product. Sometimes, I pay $4 and some cents, sometimes $5 and some cents. One day, I decided to ask the manager, why always the difference in prices, the first time she told me it was because their machine wasn't properly working (which was a lie I'm pretty sure). The next day, I went to study there, and order the same thing I was charged $6.25, for the dragon drink. I was like, "why $6.25 today are you kidding me", she told me (the manager) that they charged extra for light ice. For the next following days, I decided to go to three other Starbucks locations to buy the light ice small dragon drink, and I was charged $4.65 for all locations. I'm not if she was just targeting me, or she was just dishonest with the price. However, I'm not spending a penny in this...

It has been awhile since I’ve gotten Starbucks and personally since I was in area I got drinks from this location and it is probably the worst one I’ve been too. Went through the drive through this morning and the girl taking my order was trying to rush the process and didn’t even let me finish my order (eventually I was able to get my order done) . I had ordered a matcha latte and a butter pecan oat milk latte blended the butter pecan was overly strong, the matcha latte tasted more like milk than the matcha itself. I asked the girl for extra matcha as well. Charged me for it and I didn’t receive any in the drink. Personally as someone who works customers service daily and who is also in the food / drink industry I believe it could’ve been done way better as far as the customer service as well as the drinks. Disappointing if you...
