The Grape Life Wine Lounge and Cellar — Restaurant in Davenport

I have visited the grape life with friends several times since returning to the quad cities. In the past, the woman, whom I assume is the owner, was always quick to ask if we wanted another glass and was always pleasant. Last night while there with several friends, she was accommodating and kind as usual, then her husband arrived... I don't know if he was inconvenienced by being there or if he feels it is beneath him to wait on people. Requesting my 3rd and last glass of wine i waited to catch his eye across the room and raised my glass. He come over and said "use your voice or I will have to cut you off". Really?? After spending 3 hours there? I may go back however, I will go to the bar to refill my wine glass if he is "helping wait on tables". Or I may simply suggest that we meet at the new wine bar on 53rd, I hope they know how to...

Atmosphere is great and Kevin was awesome but I agree with previous comments of the bottles of wine being overpriced. Hubby and I wanted to try something new so we went with his recommendation, we ended up spending $125 on a bottle that we saw at the store for like $40. That’s insanity!!!! It tasted awful too :-/

Also, seems like the owner “Diane” needs to learn how to take criticism, and responsibility for her shortcomings, rather than making excuses and expecting paying customers to understand why she is being rude to them. I find her petty replies to negative reviews unprofessional.

We truly enjoyed our first experience at The Grape Life and cannot wait to come back. The atmosphere is so relaxing. It felt as if we were at a party and they were the perfect hosts. Diane and Kevin are very attentive to all. They do a great job with social distancing.

The wine was fantastic. I will be taking some home next time. The entertainment was so much fun. The volume was perfect for having conversations while still enjoying the songs and banter between the musicians and the crowd.
