I loved what I ordered! The meatballs were so flavorful and the sauce wow!

The reason for three stars rather than four or five, because the meatballs were GOOD!

What was disappointing was not receiving a portion of the order that I was looking forward to, the pesto cream cheese. I called and they said yes it should’ve come with but some ask for it to be taken off. So they don’t always put it on. (I’m sorry what?!) I did no such thing in fact I was excited about that and mentioned it to the man I ordered from in the very empty restaurant that I want to “order the meatball appetizer because Yumm pesto cream sauce” and to then not have it. I want the success for small family owned restaurants, but if you charge almost $14 for three meatballs that come in a marinara bath with pesto cream cheese and some ciabatta (also what I received was over toasted slightly burned white toast, still tasty dunked in the sauce but not what I paid for) what they served should be max $10. I’m unfortunately disappointed and would love to give a higher star rating. First time tonight to Fat Stork in Davie on the South side of Griffin just East of Pine Island in a little strip mall. Walking in, it’s really cute, the lights provide a really nice ambiance with nice relaxing music played at a pleasant volume. There is one big screen TV that was NOT on which made me happy. Waiter was prompt and my 12 yr old daughter and I split the spinach artichoke dip and their standard Stork burger but with American chz per the picky 12 yr old. The dip was fantastic!! We were both surprised at how creamy, cheesy and flavorful it was. The bowl was emptied right as our Medium burger arrived. It’s a hefty burger. We were joking that we REALLY hoped it would be as good as the dip was. And it was! Cooked perfectly, seasoned so well. The bun was even really good. The fries were really great, nicely seasoned. I decided to try the new place for lunch. I used to like Lunessa"s. I was a bit indecisive on the lunch menu. I decided on the shrimp Fatboy. Their version of a shrimp po boy. Last one of those I had was at Popeyes years ago. Let just say, this was indescribably better than anything Popeyes could ever serve you. To start with it was enough food for 2 people. The shrimp could not have been fresher or more perfectly cooked. The vegetables, sauces and overall flavor was 5 star restaurant quality. Amongst other quality greens, red cabbage and pico de Gallo, I saw fresh dill and what looked like celery leaves. That is putting love in the food and not sparing expense. My kind of place.
