Kathy, deserves every bad review, and so do the owners and management of Toi Spa. On 3/18/23, upon check out, I filled the incident report with the two front desk receptionists, they apologized and said they would mention it to the manager. Their apology meant nothing to me because, I paid full price for the services; was not offered a discount, wasted my Saturday morning and the most atrocious part; I didnât even get to relax!
To put this lightly, I have never encountered a person with an attitude quite like Kathyâs beforeâŚBased on all the previous reviews, seems like sheâs been a disgruntled employee for quite sometime now and has not changed one bit. Not only is the employee to blame, but also the establishment. Letâs delve into the reasons why Kathy rubbed (or literally didnât rub me) the wrong way:
She was upset because my husband got the Ultimate Pedicure for $90, who was with another technician. Unfortunately for her, I requested the regular, $32 pedicure. She was livid and questioned why I didnât want the same as him. Not an appropriate question to ask your clients, Kathy.
She kept bending my feet like they were made out of rubber.
-She used weak pressure for 10 seconds to massage my legs and feet
-She ever so gently scrapped the bottom of my feet for 5 seconds. I could barely feel it. Afterwards, my feet were still dry.
She threw an extremely hot towel straight out of the box directly onto my legs without airing it out. It burned like fire because I shaved my legs that morning. She didnât even apology. It actually appeared to give her great pleasure.
I brought my own nail polish, which she snatched out of my hand.
She did not paint my big toe in full, so I asked her to fill it in. Before I could finish my sentence she yelled, âyour nail polish is too thick.â I explained that was not my concern. She snatched the nail polish out of my hand a second time.
She refused to help me out of the massage chair.
When I asked her to please grab my shoes, she rolled her eyes and huffed at me.
She brought me someone elseâs shoes. I asked her to forget about it and she yelled at me in front of the ENTIRE salon.
She threw my shoes down at the bench furthest away from me.
This whole scene happened in front of guests, employees, front desk staff, etc.
My husband and I are respectful and kind. We say please, thank you, smile and carry on with our day. Kathy, received that from us, and although this is hard to say, she did not earn it. Kathy acted like a disrespectful, childish bully. She should reconsider having a job in the service industry. It does not seem to be a good fit for her. We spent a total of $140 (including $18 tip) on that day. My husbandâs treatment was excellent. Mine was horrific. Overall, was not worth spending a penny at this place.
Please keep this feedback in mind before you book an appointment at Toi Spa.

Read moreI had the worst experience with Chelsey at Toi spa in Davie. It was a nightmare! She was very passive aggressive, mean , sarcastic and snarky ⌠I could go on! Today, (Christmas eve) I had booked my appointment, I had a mishap and called and notified I would be a little late. My appointment was at 2pm I arrived at 2:08. Everything was going ok , she told me she wasnât able to do my toes, I said fine . I saw that she was rushing by the communication I wanted French dip or a nude color, decided with the nude because it would be faster. After soaking my nails she said I she could do French tips since she wasnât doing my toes and this is where it all went LEFT! She asked what base color I wanted I said pink clear. However, when she applied it looked more opaque. I only wanted reassurance it would be clear pink ,and an attitude begun . She was like I will take it off and give you clear, if it show ridges are you fine with that . I was like ok . I asked if everything is ok is she in a rush , she said no. Through out the interaction she made me know her time was being âwastedâ. I had to be calm and inhale. She said Iâll take it off , and while filing off the base , residue was flying in my face I had to shift my head to the left. While doing my nails she was asking how I wanted things done , at this point I made my little confirmation because her behavior was not kind or sincere at all . In my head I was just being calm, if I didnât have a Christmas party to go to I would have walked out of that nail spa! I was silent through the rest of the service , at one point she took of her mask and gave and angry smile, the impatience was so obvious. Customer service was disgusting. If I had an attitude I would get her behavior, but this was out of left field. At the end of their service she asked if I wanted nothing extra . This lady made me feel uncomfortable by just questioning the base of French dip manicure, I for sure said no . Then she made the sarcastic remark that I didnât know what I wanted thatâs why she asked . After she was done I told her thank you ,there was no reply (because she is snarky). I asked the front desk who is the Manager. I was told her name is Mindy and she already left. I donât write google review , but for this I made time . I had to compose myself,I wasnât going to let that lady ruin my holiday season .Especially , since she already looks like a grinch when she angrily smiled at me . So unprofessional , and low...
Read moreFirst time I leave a nail salon as upset and as agitated as I did today. I am not one to complain and usually will just go with the flow but the appointment today was just ridiculous. But it was several things back to back today at this location. I had booked my appointment to do my nails and eyebrows since last month after coming for my birthday on 11/29 and had just done my eyebrows. I have been here about a 4 times total since 2018 including today and last month I had such a pleasant experience just doing my eyebrows Last month that I decided I could start coming here since it is near me lash spot. Safe to say that was a mistake. I came in today earlier than my appointment today because i was adamant about doing my eyebrows first to make sure i had the same person, they sent me to do my nails first with grace who was friendly. I made it clear and confirm that as long I did my eyebrows with the girl from last time which according to front desk it was lee. When I finished my nails I waited about 10 minutes before having to ask front desk for an update( mind you there a lobby full of people with appointments that were waiting because it seems they just be over booking) when I did the rep just told me one second that she will see. Waited a few more minutes for lee to come up say she didnât know if it was with me and walked away saying âone secâ . Literally cancelled that appt and to add the icing on the cake i was over charged and when i asked for receipt they were useless . Not sure what her name is but the elder woman with red hair that sits in the front needs to work on customer skills. I even told them and it was just okay. They also had marked me as a no show when i was here last time and when i approached them she said oh that is okay, not sure if they try charging people like that but please keep an eye on what you are paying . Between the lack of customer care, unprofessionalism, and mediocre service safe to say will not be returning. We come to a nail salon to pay for service to feel good and have the work show for itself this...
