Title: Terrible Experience with Molded Sea Moss - Mama Chea Cafe Unwilling to Refund

Review: I want to share my truly disappointing experience with Mama Chea Cafe, specifically in regard to their molded sea moss and the subsequent lack of cooperation when seeking a refund. As a concerned customer, I believe potential buyers deserve to be aware of the subpar products and poor customer service they may encounter.

Upon purchasing the sea moss from Mama Chea Cafe, I was excited to try a new health product known for its numerous benefits. However, upon opening the package, I was immediately greeted by a strong and unpleasant odor. To my dismay, the sea moss was infested with mold, rendering it impossible to consume. It was disheartening to receive such a visibly contaminated product.

Subsequently, I attempted to contact Mama Chea Cafe's customer service to voice my concerns and request a refund for this defective item. However, their response was disappointing, to say the least. They were not only unapologetic for providing a spoiled product but seemed unwilling to take any responsibility for their mistake. Instead of offering a refund or a replacement, they simply brushed off my concerns, stating that they would not entertain the idea of a refund.

This lack of accountability and refusal to rectify this situation left me extremely dissatisfied as a customer. It is disheartening to encounter businesses that prioritize profit over customer satisfaction and fail to address their mistakes with sincerity and compassion.

As consumers, we should expect nothing less than quality products and service from any establishment we choose to patronize. Unfortunately, Mama Chea Cafe fell significantly short in that aspect. I urge potential customers to exercise caution when considering any purchases from this cafe, as they seem to lack the integrity and professionalism needed to ensure a satisfactory experience.

In conclusion, my experience with Mama Chea Cafe and their molded sea moss was nothing short of disappointing. The poor quality of the product coupled with their refusal to refund or address the issue adequately left a bitter impression. I strongly advise prospective buyers to be cautious and seek alternatives to avoid potential disappointment and wasted dollars.

I was offered other Jars to replace it how ever after seeing them do dusty construction while cooking the sea moss I assumed this was the reason for the mold and contamination in the original jars so I made the health conscious decision to no longer consume the brand Rainbow root teas Sea Moss that I purchased at Mama Chea Cafe.

Funny they lie about this being a 3rd party issue when they own the brand of sea moss that I'm having issues with. Shows you how these people do business. Stay away.

I even gave them the chance to do a PARTIAL refund, and they denied this request.

The owner is not being honest or genuine in the reply back. I purchased the product in the cafe and picked it up in the cafe..Attached is proof of me making a purchase since they "don't have record"

This has been my go to restaurant on Saturdays. I found this restaurant on google. I usually get the jackfruit which is very good. I’m not here to shame this restaurant, it’s nice and I have been going for a while as stated.

Now this place is one of the most expensive out of the many small Vegan restaurants that I go to, but their price is their price. Therefore my money is my money and I expect the food to be made correctly. I’m only writing this review because “ She is still not Satisfied “ bothered me. How can someone be satisfied with an extremely hard cinnamon roll? My response should have been “you warm it for 2 minutes a bite into it”. I did let her know it was hard immediately once I tried it but nothing was done.

I had to tell her again. She told me to go home and warm it. Who does that? This place is already expensive and I must go home and warm something I that was prepared for me to eat inside the restaurant? The cinnamon rolls were also not its normal size. They were smaller than usual. I believe this is why. Maybe not. The last time I got one, it was made the day before as well but big, and heated for much longer and then the topping was added it was delicious! I devoured it up!

I didn’t have to “ Go home and warm it” . “She is not satisfied” really got to me. It’s like telling someone to be satisfied with spoiled milk, or a cheese pizza that has been over cooked and is now burnt. At at times, my potato fries doesn’t taste like fries, it taste like bake potatoes when it’s not completely finished, it’s hasn’t crisps yet. Now that is me just eating it even though I’m not pleased, but it’s edible. I didn’t know I had to ask someone for well done fries.

I’m not going to be satisfied eating a hard cinnamon roll harder than a week old cookie. She did try to resolve it by giving me something else. Then she told me take the cinnamon roll which I did. It was edible, still not satisfying. Definitely not worth over 2 bucks. I’m not sure if I will return, but if I do, it will be awhile from now. I was given a card with a free smoothie after 9 visits. If someone still has a card it should be accepted. Not you telling them you are not doing the promotion anymore. Unless it was told you have to complete the visits within a certain time. I barely wanted her to punch the hole in it. Why hand it out?

She is cool, we had mad conversations. At times, I rather the fiancé, that is who I met the first time I was there. I believe he would have resolve the situation better and he never complained when I handed in the card to...

🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 So if you’re in Davie or if you ever take a trip to South Florida you must stop in this 100% vegan café/manufacturer with produce all their vegan alternative meats and products! So much information and unique items found in this gem the owner is amazing very knowledgeable has been doing this for over 10 years. I saw the café on local channel 10 couple months back and I haven’t had a chance to visit and finally I was able to come! I’m so glad I didn’t miss the episode on TV or was able to catch the details of the Cafe! The food was amazing we went with a friend I love that it’s a takeout spot nothing too big or overwhelming. The food was absolutely amazing As a vegan I always have to compromise for either just commercial big name highly processed brands or unseasoned Vegan alternatives everything here I can’t complain I loved everything I had we pretty much ordered the menu the group of us so we can all Try the menu from the ice cream to the empanadas, we love the burgers it was absolutely my favorite was the trio burger And I love the Matcha latte it’s 100% vegan and they also make nut milks in house so whatever milks you want from Walnut Pistachio Pecan Just so much more options complete shocker and highly underrated! This is an absolutely gems I literally have no complaints other than I wish I could’ve ordered more food to take home with me! So I don’t have to cook the next day which gives me another reason why I have to come back! I definitely will be coming back thank you so much everyone it was time consuming but good food comes with patience and I truly appreciate your craft of food that is taking time and effort not just rushed food.
