I have purchased three computers from them..The first failed after one day,the second failed after 4 years.I understood that they needed the original invoice before they honored their warranty but because my daughter was two hrs away,and needing her car for school,I simply asked them to help by letting me know which part I needed and SELLING me another one.They refused to acknowledge having anything to do with me in the past...I sent them my paypay receipt and they still refused...So I called the number on their ebay site and they were gracious enough to at least identify the unit and after paying them another 200+ they sent it to me...After replacing the unit I took pictures of the old one and sent to their ebay store( i was still miffed they did not believe me enough to help ) ans was told that I had added a sticker to the unit and therefor it would have voided my warranty anyway! I have included their original response and my reply,,,,I will continue to post all of their correspondence here for everyone to read,,, Stay away from them! Me: Would you kindly check your records to see/verify that I purchased a module for 2001 rav4 from you in 2012. autocomputerexchange-ace: We may be able check by your order ID Me... I have no idea what that would be...Lesson learned;) I need to replace it again, the car in Colorado Springs,where my daughter is currently attending CSU,and I will be going up to replace it next week.(I was hoping that you would have the part number from my last purchase as I only have the make model and VIN. Unfortunately the Invoice is required to check the Warranty. Without the Invoice there is no warranty. Also the unit has a sticker that does not belongs to us - and states that the unit was checked/tampered by another company - that automatically void the warranty. Thank you
You are wrong! YOU placed every sticker on that unit.If there is a sticker that doesn't belong on there ..the seals that YOU placed are still unbroken..YOU placed it there .Don't insult me any more than you have.That unit was rushed to me because the first unit I bough from you DID NOT WORK(lasted one day)...Don't worry I am not asking for your warranty,obviously it's not worth a damn thing...Now i realize that if i would have had the invoice you would have "claimed" that there was a sticker that didn't belong on the unit..How clever of you! Read moreI dropped of my computer on Saturday not realizing that it could not be checked until Monday. On Monday, I called to check on the status of my computer. I spoke with an older lady who explained that the man who works on my particular computer is in the hospital and wont be out until the following day. Before I got off the phone and prior to any work being performed, I asked this older lady how much will it cost. This is after I explained that I dropped off my computer on Saturday. She looks in the computer system and tells me that it's still under warranty. No problem. I let a day go by. On Wednesday, I call to check on the status of my computer. After being placed on hold several times, while trying to locate my computer, "Roe" (I think that's his name) comes back on the phone, takes my information to call me back with a status update. It was about 4:30pm, they close at 5:30pm. Never heard from "Roe". Today, my mechanic calls me and tells me that my computer is ready and they want $200.00. Of course, I was surprised because I was TOLD that is was under warranty. When I was told it was under warranty, I told my Mechanic and my FB family and anybody who I could testify to about this blessing I had just received. Soooo, I called the company to try and figure out what happened and where the discrepancy could have possibly taken place. The first lady I spoke with said she SAW where the problem took place but she wanted the person who gave the misinformation to clear up the situation and then she transferred me. Lady number 2 comes on the phone and after I explain the situation she says well it wasn't me (it didnt sound like the lady who told me it was under warranty) and bottom line is you need to pay $200.00. So while I'm trying to figure out where the mistake took place, these people felt like I was just wasting there time. I did not expect to get this done for FREE. But, after being told by a representative of the company, after clearly explaining my situation, that my part is under warranty, what is the expectation?? Lady number 2 then proceeds to tell me that they've been calling my mechanic since Monday because the computer was left on the counter and she needed more information as to what was the problem. I've been calling this company since Monday about the same part and on 2 occasions it seemed as though they could not locate the part. Not entirely happy with the outcome of that call, I call back and now have the pleasure of speaking to a man with a slight accent, a very condescending man. Not willing to admit that they were at fault for divulging misinformation regarding the costs associated with my computer. You all need to be more accountable for the things that you tell your customers. This was my first experience with this company that was recommended by a friend who felt my car was out of commission for way too long (6 weeks). Thanks friend. Yes the convenience is great but the attitude of the people....TO BE DETERMINED. 1 stars based on my personal experience. Read moreI do regular business with these people i own a diesel garage in tampa that work on diesel trucks i buy propably 3 computers a week from them and i called them up for a truck i was working on and the gentleman i spoke to said get the service number and he can get it from a outside source so im traveling to ft lauderdale to see family figured i pick computer up while i was down there and i called them and the spanish lady who answered phone just say keep sayi g we dont carry those over and over and over again about ten time and wont let me speak so i said to her could you be quiet so i can explain to you the situation and she says dont be f** rude and hangs up on me and i call back 4 times and she hangs up on me and then the gentleman who finally answers the phone i say let me speak to the manager and he says he is which i know who the manager is ive been to there facity ten million time even toured the area where the y fix the computer by the owner and the manager and he ask for my phone number that i order parts from and he cant seem to find my account when i do a ton of business with him and he tells me im must be calling the wrong place like im an idiot and dont know where i get parts from and youst to deal with them when i had my shop in fort lauderdald and he haz the nerve to twll me that i need to learn some respect and how to talk to people are you kidding me i thought the customer was always right and second i felt like i was bothering her and i wasnt mean until she was direspectful to me when your in businezs and a customer calls you you need to listen and be respectfjl so theh dont get mad at you i will never do business with tjis place again and i see all the bad reviews tbey have about customerr service so no wonder they had to move to a smaller facility cauze they treat people tbis way they must hqve gotten to big for there britesh and by the way they didnt have the computer he said so now my customer has waited a week again becauuse of there bad customer service and ive also gotten a few bad computer from them but was nice about that situation as chalking it up to defective parts and this is my first review ever that...
