Wendy's — Restaurant in Davie

I'm editing my 4 star rating from 3 years ago. I now rate this store ZERO STARS!!!!

This Wendy's is ADVERTISED to close at 1:00 am, BUT I arrived at the drive through at 12:55 am. I called into the speaker and wasn't answered so I drove to the drive in window and knocked on it and honked my car's horn. I also looked up the phone number and called it (it rang once both times and I was hung up on after ONE RING). A female employee looked at me and turned away. A second female came to the window wearing a headset and CLAIMED she "didn't hear me" and took off the headset. I proceeded to ask her why they were closed 5 minutes BEFORE 1:00. She replied that "we close at 2 minutes to 1." I then asked for the manager.

A young man came to the window and said that "No one heard you and we are now closed." I explained that a female employee saw me and ignored me. He said "She doesn't speak English."

I replied "Oh, she can't say 'Hola' and point to the drive through window?"

Then he had the audacity to ask "Is there anything else I can help you with?"

I replied "Yes. What is your name?"

His answer was initially "I don't have one."

I looked at him in his eyes and asked for his name again. He said "John."

I told him I wanted his real name. His answer? "That is my real name."

Then I asked for his last name and he said "Wright." I then told him, "I will be calling corporate. I worked in full service restaurants for 15 years and yes, it sucks when people came in at 5 minutes before closing but I ALWAYS waited on them. My pregnant wife wants 2 sandwiches. What would you do if YOUR wife wanted food?"

He shrugged and said "Is there anything else I can help you with?" And he turned and walked away.

The girl who had the headset on came back to the window. I asked her for her name but she ignored me and closed the window. Then I drove across the street to McDonald's and got HOT chicken nuggets and fries for my wife.

I got bullied out a job I loved. I raised an ethical concern with the shift leader, customers outside, waiting for food, meanwhile she decides it is th best time to stop the orders from being made, she moves, fryer baskets, removes fry and nugget container. I mention it. She send me home. Im shocked I said im not leaving unless the lead manager tells me to go. I commited my time to this job, im not leaving over some lazy team leader. The customer is number one. Well the hiring manager cools it off and says just go, i'll speak with you tomorrow" I left without a word. Another day I worked with this same shift leader. Brittany, she always had an attitude with me after I filed a report about the incident. I saw an Uber Eats order, a customer willing to wait to get exactly what they wanted. I put spicy nuggets to cook. She disregards me, says nothing, starts filling this large $40 order with regular nuggets. I tell her she has it wrong, I have the nuggets cooking. She sends them anyways. I could not believe my eyes. If I was the customer I would have been pissed. I have an ethical problem with what she did. So I tell her. The only thing she tells me is she dosnt care about her job or the customer. And send me home. How could she be the leader.

Everyone in there is miserable, and rude. The manager rolled her eyes because she had to do an Override because I changed my mind about what I wanted, the cashier forgot my drink I had to ask for it when she handed me the bag of food. The place was empty when we went in and it took forever to get our food. The employees were bickering amongst themselves loudly, one employee told the manager in front of us that something wasn't in her job description, and then a little later in our visit the manager walks past the cash register after returning from an outside drive thru delivery and spits into a napkin with a customer standing there, doesn't acknowledge the guest, throws the napkin in the trash, returns to the register and then asks "What do you want". She doesn't wash her hands and proceeds to make the guests frosty. I would definitely NOT EAT HERE EVER! I wouldn't give it one star but I had to to write this review. Whether this is franchise or corporate I don't know but it's the most disgusting place I've ever been. They didn't like me taking video either. Imagine that. When they confronted me by saying can I help you I said no you really can't and I told the manager and the employee that confronted me that she has NO BUSINESS being a Manager with the attitude and disregard for public health that she obviously has.
