Fluffy Donuts — Restaurant in Davis

I’d been wanting to visit this donut shop for a long time, even though it’s over 10 minutes away from where I live. The first time I went, they had already sold out and had a sign on the window saying they were closed — so you know they’re popular!

On my second attempt, I made sure to go early in the morning. My daughter picked out a pink swirl donut, and I went with a maple one. I was also curious about their vegan donuts, which are a bit pricier than the regular ones — totally understandable. I mentioned to the woman working there that it was our first time visiting, and she kindly gave my daughter some adorable donut stickers.

After paying for our two donuts, she generously offered to let me try any vegan donut I wanted. I really appreciated that sweet gesture. I chose the white coconut vegan donut, and let me tell you — it was unbelievably fresh and absolutely delicious. Honestly, probably the best donut I’ve ever had in my life. No exaggeration.

A cozy local donut shop with reasonable prices that serves excellent Thai tea ($4 for a medium). Highly recommend the fritters, especially the apple and blueberry ones. The fritters are the true star here: airy, even distribution of fruit filling, gently glazed crispy exterior. One fritter could qualify as a meal, that's how sizable they are! The toasted jalapeño, ham, and cheese croissant was tasty but the savory items are outshined by the sweet fritters. My only complaint is that the donuts didn't taste as fresh as the fritters. Granted, maybe it was the time I went (10am). I did enjoy their ube donut, on the recommendation of the friendly staff. There are booth tables for indoor seating but there are also benches outside. Fluffy donuts are literally the best donuts I’ve ever had. Since discovering them, I’ve been at least once a week for the last few months and have never once been disappointed. The chocolate tiger twist fills the inner kid in me with so much glee, I can’t even express how wonderful it is. They also have vegan donuts that are just as good (truly) as their main donuts…. And just as fluffy.

Not only are their donuts supreme, the staff are truly remarkable and the entire shop has a welcoming aura and adorable tables to enjoy your donuts at- though I usually end up walking home with a grin and double fisting my treasures of the day ◡̈ Even my cat loves...
