I was made to feel completely unwelcome because I wanted my milk tea with matcha have a green and black tea base. I'm 42 years old and have reverse receptors in my brain. the extra caffeine is needed. I know what I like. I was so extremely polite and they rejected me in a like never came back sort of way. I was born overseas where hospitality is everything...this sort of behavior I suppose is the norm now?.. I was just felt feeling completely hurt. No advice was given to even steer me with the menu. She just flat out rushed to say no. It felt more like an attack than customer service. There is a far cry from we won't do that. Company policy. To, I'm so sorry we can't do that but what are you looking for maybe I can recommend a drink off the menu? Like just a flat explitive inserted no. Just mean. So mean. They snobily rejected me because I asked for an drink that I like and have already had. I didn't even get to try this place out...the lady who was helping me was all ego and was actually super happy to make me feel uncomfortable. I don't feel this is a safe place. Thinking about the whole exchange just hurts my heart and she made me cry because of how rude she was. I am Autistic. This dessert place is the staple of Davis. I had so many fond memories here. To ne honest, they serve the best milk tea in town no doubt. I highly recommend the Lemon Kumquat Basil Seed. It is so refreshing and you can't get it anywhere else. The bingsoo is amazing and loaded with fresh fruit. I'm sad that I don't get to sit down and enjoy my bingsoo there anymore. For now, as of July 2020, they only do takeout. They put the bingsoo into a poke bowl container and I think it's about the same size as their regular dine-in bowls? Maybe a little less but I'm fine with that. They put ice in the plastic takeout bag then put the bowl on top so it won't melt as fast as you take it home. It also comes with a sauce cup of evaporated milk. The mango bingsoo is seasonal to the summer so...

The injeolmi (soybean) and mango bingsoo's are to DIE FOR. The shaved snow is extra fine, and the sweetness is perfectly balanced. They provide evaporated/condensed milk on the side just in case you need any additional sweetness to your bingsoo. Bingsoo is prepared with layers of snow intermingled with layers of mango, soybean, or whatever your order of choice is. Keep in mind, it is an extra $3.00 charge to upgrade the bingsoo serving size to a large. To-go orders are packed carefully with an ice pack to keep the snow from melting. The mango sago was yummy too! The texture was smooth and dense enough to be filling. The teahouse is really busy during the evening, but the atmosphere is lively and welcoming.
