Jack's Urban Eats — Restaurant in Davis

Ordered through Toast which was super convenient. Our order was ready before we arrived. Located in a small shopping center with many places to eat, snack, and shop from. Plenty of parking. I walked in, there was maybe 3 tables occupied. Two people at the register, I walked up and asked for my order under my name. I was not greeted and the woman kinda gave me a look as if I was inconveniencing her talking to her coworker by asking for my order. She looked at the orders behind her, gave me the bag, I said thank you, and she continued talking with her coworker. 🤷🏽‍♀️ Oh yeah, the fries were okay, too. Nothing special. We got a small Urban fries and a small Garlic fries. The garlic was soggy, tasted like the garlic from the jar. The Urban fries were decent. Only go here in person so you can tell them exactly how to make a sandwich that’s on their menu. Ordered one sandwich and they gave me a completely different one. Girl on the phone had an IQ of a child and tried telling me the bread is just different and everything else is right as if I’m not looking at it in front of me. She proceeds to say “oh so the toppings are wrong” after already explaining what I ordered and what I got and even explained what meat was on it and what It should’ve been. She said they’d make a new one, and lo and behold they gave me the EXACT same sandwich again, only this time without onions. Not sure how you can mess up the simplest thing twice but needless to say I’ll go somewhere else next time.

I just sent my husband to pick up dinner for us from jacks. He got there 15 minutes before closing. I got the Santa Fe chicken salad with dressing on the side. I had this a few weeks ago and it was good. When I opened it (at home) I thought they had put some weird dressing on it by mistake. Upon closer inspection it's actually just super slimy wet goopy drippy bottom of the barrell end of the day salad. But hey, at least the dressing is on the side? Ugh. I get it, I don't feel like cooking that late at night either...that's why I sent my husband to jacks! If you're not going to serve yummy food until nine then close earlier!
