Giving an honest review here. Were through on a quiet Sunday. Walking in, seated by a hostess and told the routine is to scan a QR code at your table and you order all, drinks, food, etc. via QR code on the phone. We were given actual menus as well but orders were to be placed on the phone. We are not luddites (Im a techy) and while kind of odd I tried to see some benefit. The QR ordering was a bit cumbersome to say the least as you had to setup an account/payment and then seeming to have to process/place orders to get them to ship to the kitchen/bar which we (I) goofed on but eventually figured it out. Ordered 2 beers, one draft 7$ one non $8.50, half dozen wings $9, I got a burger ($14), added sautéed onions (+$1.50), added fries (+$4) so $19.50 for a burger and fries. She got Mac n' Cheese, ($16 in a 4" ramekin) nothing else, and I added her a small mixed green salad ($5). Total after tax $69.55 Decent food but very spendy to say the least at $19.50 for a burger and fries. Great people, great bar tender seemed to be carrying the weight, owner was there also great. The hard part is the QR code and handling the front-of-house yourself at these prices. I am usually a very big tipper but that usually takes into account front-of-house and wait staff who usually split tips with the back of house. So tipping 25% or more is usually standard for good service and good food. Fumbling over the QR code even with a great bartender coming from behind the bar and checking on us makes it hard. The hostess there who pretty much seated us and nothing more and given the place was so quiet could have easily been tending tables but the bartender and owner were up several times greeting the door with no hostess present.. It may be the new norm with prices increasing and staffing issues being so difficult but its hard to tip the way we'd like to when we are doing the work of the front-of-house (placing our own orders, fumbling through phones, and so on). Its nothing against an owner, as running a food establishment is no easy task, but it would seem the QR model may negatively impact wait staff and back-of-house staff as it pertains to tips for service but I have no idea. Again, tech savvy but I cant imagine this format being conducive to a lot of people (older) that would walk through the door or people knowing the price point. Two seeming hipsters (young) came in for drinks to take out on the patio while we were there and buck'd, blew off, the QR code just wanting a couple drinks cash to take out and sip. Again, its clear staffing is a chore but at $65 for 2 beers, 6 wings, a $19.50 burger and fries, small mac and cheese, and a small salad, and having to order yourself QR it gets a little hard but again, changing times. All that said, I'd go back for sure. Seems their big deal is Sunday Brunch. Just some honest feedback.

We found this hidden gem one morning after camping in the Monongahela National Forest. From what I understand, the inn and cafe has been under new ownership for the past year and a half. Not sure what it was like before, but the current staff was very friendly and appear to be properly running this place. Their breakfast was amazing. My son enjoyed the Bright Morning Platter, while I chose their biscuits and gravy. His blueberry pancakes were huge and fluffy. Bacon and eggs were fixed to his liking. The serving size of the biscuits and gravy was enormous. This happened to be one of the best biscuits and gravy dishes that I have ever had, and that’s saying a lot from someone who grew up in Appalachia. You can really tell they use the best ingredients and put a lot of attention to detail in preparation. Be sure to order a cup of coffee. They happened to be serving an Ethiopian blend from Counter Culture Coffee that morning. I probably had four refills. If you’re in the area and looking for somewhere to eat breakfast, this is the place. It may seem a little pricey to some, but trust me when I say it is well worth it!

This is a two-fer! We went for breakfast and went back for dinner. Breakfast was busy which was likely due to an event in town or in the area. No wait and we walked in and were seated. We did get in just in time though, as a line started to form. Breakfast was a sausage gravy and biscuits with scrambled egg overtop and my wife had the “classic breakfast” and she loved the breakfast potatoes! Very well seasoned. Great and friendly service! On our way in for breakfast, we saw the black and bleu burger as a special. After a long day of hiking various areas, we went back for dinner which did not disappoint! Server was friendly and while you typically had to order at the bar, he went above and beyond and took our order at the table! Thank you! I got the black and bleu burger and my wife got the cheeseburger. These suckers were HUGE! And you could tell they were homemade. In our opinion, the best burgers in town. The black and bleu had a great layer of bleu cheese and fried onions. It really hit the spot! Overall, a fantastic experience and would absolutely recommend!

Had a deeply disappointing experience with this restaurant this evening (06/18/22). We were in town for a family reunion and visited the restaurant with a party of 18 people. My brother ordered the fish tacos. After one bite he recognized that the fish tasted off, but he tried another bite to be sure before saying anything to the staff. After the second bite it was clear something was wrong. He was afraid to keep eating it because he thought it may make him sick. Something about the quality and taste of the fish didn't sit well. He alerted our waitress and asked to send the tacos back because he just wasn't satisfied. He said he wasn't sure if he even wanted anything else, but just wanted them to know something was wrong. She said ok and that she would talk to the manager about what they could possibly do. My brother told her that he wasn't asking for anything, but just couldn't eat the food. About 5 mins later she returned and said the manager said there's nothing they could do since there wasn't anything technically wrong with the food. My brother said ok but when the waitress asked if he'd like to speak to the manager he took her offer. This is when things went from disappointing to offensive...

The manager came to the table and had a defensive demeanor from the outset. In fact, I'd describe it as adversarial. He asked my brother the problem and he told him something just wasn't right with the food. The manager said everyone raves about the tacos being the best they've ever had and he doesn't understand the problem. He also said that the tacos were described in detail in the menu and so my brother should have known whether he'd like them or not. Again, my brother stated there was something not right about them and he was afraid to eat more than two bites.

The manager refused to even listen well to my brother. He kept responding defensively and said "well that's too bad there's nothing I can do" and walked away.

It was really unbelievable...just no empathy whatsoever. It was incredibly poor service and I sure wish that we hadn't visited with such a large group that provided a great deal of business to this restaurant. For what it's worth, my food was very good but we did have two additional mistakes made on other orders. There were apologies but no offer to make it right.

Anyhow, this was such a disappointing experience. I will never return here and this is a warning to others looking to try it out. I'd say based on the management's poor attitude and service alone this restaurant is not worth giving your hard earned money to....

Edit - The owner has written some lies in the reply and the way she has replied to me and others reflects who she is. I did wait for over an hour to even place my order. The server did not come to us to take our order. We had to finally reach out to her and quickly tell our order. We barely had any interaction with the servers in general so there wasn't even a chance to be rude in anyway. The food was not fresh and made in a hurry. The restaurant was not that busy, just that the servers weren't interested or cared too much about the customers. There was nothing inappropriate in my original review. There is more inappropriate language in the owner's reply to my review. I saw other customers looking confused as well as no one was really checking on them, or taking their payments quickly. I don't know what door was not closed properly as we usually hold the door for others if they are going in and out. Don't use such doors that don't close automatically if you are so concerned about a door not closing! We did not go out and came back. We waited there only. There were just one person ahead of us. We were not told about the 30-40 mins wait for anything as much. We were told we will be seated ASAP. We were seated after 20-25 mins but the order was not taken for another 35-40 mins.

Message to the owner - People go out on weekends to enjoy sites and have fun, not just wait at your restaurant for some food. Learn to respect your customers as you are dependent on them to survive, they are not dependent on your restaurant, there are plenty of options. Learn to genuinely apologize when you don't deliver a good service and don't try to build a fake story and hide behind lies. Your restaurant is not that busy, you don't have the right attitude and you can hire more staff if you think you have that much business. Don't worry I am never going to your restaurant but you are welcome to come to my house and eat for free and learn hospitality along with some really good food!

Original review - Very rude and slow service. We waited for an hour to even get our order placed. We won't go back, we tipped the waitress well since we won't be bringing our business back to this restaurant. Food was ok, I make it...
