I struggle writing this review.
In summary Food is great Customer service is slow Management is HORRIBLE
It was my first time trying Noah's bagels and I ordered some bagels, spread and a coffee. The bagels and the spread options are undeniably great! I can't find a honey smhear anywhere so i appreciated that they had it here. The bagels were yummy, I tried regular bagels and I got the pizza bagel which did not disappoint.
The service is pretty slow, there were a lot of people waiting and it took a little while to get my order, but not slow enough I wouldn't go back.
The management... this is the reason I kind of don't want to go back. Since I was waiting in line all I saw was the manager or owner (not sure which one he was. Early 30s white man, heavy build) being so rude to the employees to the point where I felt uncomfortable.
He kept raising his voice at the employees that the toaster has to "always be filled to full capacity", then he kept telling this employee they "needed gloves on, no excuses why there should be no gloves on", and then continuously micro managing an order from telling them what cutting board to use, changing gloves, checking the status etc.
Mind you yes, wearing gloves and being stocked is important. But the tone, pitch, and the words he was using with the employees would not make me want to work there. It was difficult to watch as a customer I can't imagine how the employees feel.
If you want bagels yes this is a great place, but for me I was disappointed to see the employees get...
Read moreI ordered two bagel sandwiches on their app. When I showed up to pick up my order, the older woman told me they were out of everything. Literally everything. Despite the fact they had lots of bagels in the window and we're serving other people. I was confused but said ok how do I get a refund? She waved me over to the register and asked for my card. She then refunded me for the wrong order, giving me $7 back instead of the $13.94 that my order was. When I pointed this out, she punched something into the register and asked for my card again, then refunding me $5.73. I pointed out that this still didn't add up to my order. She angrily said, "That's 7, and that's 6." And I replied that my order has been 14. She then reached into the register, grabbed two dollars, and shoved it at me, saying fine how's that? I was nearly in tears by the time I left. If you can't take orders, why are you open? Why can you order things on the app that you don't have? I tried calling to place an order and wasn't given the option to speak with anyone. And why was I told you had nothing when you had a store full of bagels and we're giving other people food? Utter BS. I understand staffing is hard during this pandemic but there's no excuse for treating...
Read moreDO NOT GO HERE!!! Blatant racism by the staff. I visited the place to pick up an order on September 21, Wednesday on a morning around lunch time.
I have never experienced being bad mouthed by an employee while I was standing in front of her. Maybe she thought me and my mother couldn't understand her because we were Asian, but when we went up to the counter to order she very visibly rolled her eyes, let out a loud sigh and turned back to her coworkers to badmouth me while I was standing RIGHT in front of her.
When it was the White customers behind us time to order, she did a 180 and greeted them very friendily.
We did not do anything to that woman, we just wanted to get our food but we were mistreated and seen as a bother for the simple fact of our race.
This sort of behaviour is unacceptable, and it's disgraceful that Noah's bagel promotes it. We will never be going back to this place again, and I encourage everyone who is a Minority to not support this disgusting business.
If you actually care, PLEASE do something about that blatantly racist staff. It does not leave a good image on your brand, and more people WILL come...
