Incredibly disappointed is an understatement. I've never experienced such poor treatment at any restaurant. While we were cognizant of the fact they were understaffed, that wasn't an issue at all. Our waiter was incredibly rude, and inattentive, the food only mediocre. Definitely was not worth the disappointing treatment after a beautiful hike in the area. The hateful nature of our waiter certainly put a damper on our good spirits.
For future reference, should anyone ignore this review, they get rather busy and loud, nothing is explained by the staff, our waiter took our order without inquiring or explaining options, leading to a few disappointing items. The beer menu is not printed, with only a wave from staff towards the cooler as to options. Impossible to see and choose and with the waiter refusing to help in any way, my boyfriend wandered over to the cooler, and opened it to take a look at a beer. The waiter ran over and snatched the beer from his hand in the most hateful manner. Having said that, there is a sign on the cooler that we didn't see, "employees only, WV state Law". So, it's understandable to want to keep customers in line, however, the waiter was completely out of line with his aggressiveness. He could have handled this better. We should have left at that point, but being the only place open and a starving family, we braved the rudeness hoping for amazing food. We were disappointed with the food almost as much as...
Read moreWe ate here on a ski trip to Canaan Valley. When we walked in at ~6:30pm Friday night, we could barely fit through the door, but we had no wait because apparently the crowd was due to several large parties. So a party of 2-3 people got in immediately. Service was slow, but that was due to how busy the place was, not because of inattentive or lazy servers. The girl who served us was very nice and got us what we needed when she finally made it to our table. I really enjoyed the atmosphere of Sirianni's. Old pictures all over the walls, ski/West Virginia theme, and old notes displayed under a glass overlay on the tables. Lots of interesting things to look at while you wait on your food.
Food: I had the small size dinner salad with the house garlic dressing on the side and without the cheese or meat - it was fantastic!!!! Mesclun mix with tons of veggies (carrot, pepper, tomato, mushroom, black olives, cucumber) and the dressing was sweet and not too heavy. Seriously, this was an excellent salad. I would probably come back just to eat it again. Two of us split the medium bbq chicken pizza, which was also excellent. Part of the crust was a little burned, but it just added to the flavor.
Bottom Line Summary: Come here if you have plenty of time because it could take a while, but it is worth it. Excellent salad and pizza. I would...
Read moreI went for dinner and arrived early around 4:30. The place was a little chaotic but, that’s OK. I ordered a meatball hoagie and waited. I did some research on my phone as I sat and watched. People, who came in after me, were beginning to receive their food. I understand this can happen but, when some finished their meals and got up to leave, I realized I had been waiting for more than an hour. I was riding a motorcycle that day and wanted to get closer to home before deer and others began to share the road. I decided I could not wait any longer so I asked to pay so I could leave. The waitress told me there had been a mistake with my order so now they were bringing it to me at no charge. I told them I could not wait and had to go. When I tried to pay for my tea, I was also charged for the hoagie. Then I found out they only accept cash or personal check. It’s all good. There’s an ATM ($3.00 fee) in the restaurant. It didn’t like my card but, the staff were nice enough to allow me to go down the road to a bank where I withdrew cash and returned to pay. I understand mistakes happen but, at least try to be...
