Drip Kitchen and Coffee — Restaurant in Dayton

My Christmas wish was for an iced Americano was ruined. I walked in excited, but left disappointed. I ordered an iced americano with a splash of oat milk and some syrup. After sitting down, I was called back to the front counter. Instead of receiving my drink, they told me that they can’t make and iced americano (water and espresso) because the hot water would melt the ice. I asked if they could just use cold water instead of hot water so the ice wouldn’t melt. I work at a coffee shop and make americanos like this all the time, so I know that it can be done with no problem. It’s really actually very simple, but the baristas insisted that it couldnt be done. Instead they offered me a cold brew. I decided to let it go and settle for a cold brew. The barista asked if I still wanted a splash of milk and syrup in it, which I confirmed that I did. I sat down again and waited 10 minutes. Eventually I started to question whether my drink would ever come. We went up to the counter and to our surprise, my drink had been forgotten and never made. They made it quickly, but it didn’t have oat milk or the syrup is asked for. I decided to just settle for the plain cold brew. The cold brew was actually pretty good, just not what I ordered.

Almost everyone else in our group liked their drinks and the space was nice too. I think that the confusion with my drink was just a one time problem, and I would come again, but it definitely did give me a not-so-great...

I've visited here in the drive-thru a handful of times and have loved pretty much everything I've tried. The egg blt breakfast sandwich is now my favorite thing for breakfast in Dayton. Also, their Arnold Palmer with unsweetened tea and strawberry syrup is so refreshing. They even made my little one some chocolate milk at request. The white chocolate raspberry scone is pretty good. I've also tried their Trust me Turkey lunch- the sandwich had a unique flavor, but very good. The loaded potato salad was fantastic! I can't really speak as to their coffee, as I've only tried it once when they first opened. It was a frozen mocha coffee and it was okay. Most all the employees are super friendly and polite. This was my first time trying this new shop out. I ordered the Blue Dream Smoothie in the drive-thru. It took about ten minutes to get through with two cars in front of me. That is about normal I would say. The guy working the window was nice. I was very disappointed in the smoothie though. First off, it was very expensive and secondly, the texture was horrible. I could barely swallow it due to the excessive amount of seeds that didn't get crushed up. I kept having to spit them out because I could not swallow them with the rest of the smoothie. The flavor was okay, but not nearly as sweet as I thought it should be considering the amount of fruit in it. I will give the coffee shop another try, but will definitely order...
