Grandma's II Restaurant — Restaurant in Dayton

I walked in for breakfast was not greeted by anyone or acknowledged whatsoever. Sat myself down, server passed by me 3 times never made eye contact or told me they'd be with me shortly. They were not busy no reason for such rudeness. I literally sat there for 10 minutes just to see how long it would take to be acknowledged. It never happened, I don't think they even noticed me get up and leave. Mind you This place is extremely small and it wasn't like you can't see me I'm 5'10" I'm not a small person. Maybe because I was white and entire place was entirely of black folks including staff they just chose to ignore me. No problem I spent my money elsewhere and was treated very nicely where I went. Not to worry, I plan on never patronizing your establishment again. Very sad, I had orders to go and including myself, the better place made 46.52 off of me that morning. Doesn't look like a very clean place and neither do the cooks. Observed unsanitary behavior in my lengthy wait for nothing. Glad I went...

I usually will eat at Grandma's whenever possible, but the tall server female is very rude, along with the owner & the morning cook. I recently went in there and asked for a steak medium well and while cooking my food, the dark skin male cook and the tall female server argued loudly with each other while using profanity the entire time. When I was handed my food, my steak was straight pink inside, so I said something. They took it back and put it back on the grill while continuing to argue as if they were married. I was handed back my food maybe two minutes later and my steak still wast done and I had a meeting I had to get to, so I left. I returned today, only to have the cops called on me. The owner tells me that a medium well steak has a little pink inside and that it's my fault for leaving. He also trespassed me from Grandma's! I'm filing a dispute in the court system and I will never go back here. I would suggest everyone...

1st time there this morning. Moved back home 3 weeks ago and needed a new breakfast spot. Googled nearest breakfast joints and Grandmas popped up. EXACTLY what my fiancé and I needed. A HOME COOKED MEAL!!! He ordered the salmon patties with eggs home fries and raisin bread. I ordered the BLT topped with cheese eggs. EVERYTHING was absolutely delicious. I even put in a to go order for my daughter. The staff was welcoming and very patient with my fiesty 2 year old whom btw is extremely picky. Not only did they continue to bring her different foods (because she didn’t like the texture or taste) they brought it out quickly. My service was all around excellent. I will be back.
