Honestly the cheese cake cones should be a crime, I'm left questioning my existence after having tried the cookies and cream. My girlfriend and I ordered from here yesterday through Grub Hub I believe and could only go off of some Facebook posts so were a little hesitant. We got a call shortly after placing our order to verify, so that excited us because we knew they were at least paying attention to detail, but we were blown away once we actually got our order.
The presentation was great and everything survived the ride immaculately, nothing had melted with the heat or even managed to tip over. We got a s'more and chai cupcake as well and both were freaking adorable. Not only did they just taste great, an amazing balance of everything overall, I could tell it wasn't made in some ghost kitchen because it actually tasted home made. I can't overstate how well balanced these cupcakes were, not too sweet at all and not the size of my fist. The s'mores cupcake truthfully looked more like artwork than food, a little surreal.
We don't eat sweets often but this is definitely going to be our go to now. I think the selection online was limited so we're definitely going to be stopping in sometime. I used to get periodic cravings for Bill's Donuts, but I have a feeling that...
Read moreI wanted to support a local bakery by ordering a small heart-shaped wedding cake. The owner was very friendly at first, and I paid a deposit, but after that, she completely stopped responding to my emails and Facebook messages (how we had communicated the whole time). The only response I got was a sad face emoji reaction to one of my follow-up messages.
My Maid of Honor also tried to help by contacting the owner, but even then, she was not apologetic and simply said that "time got away from her." This lack of communication and professionalism was extremely disappointing. With just five days left before my wedding, I had to order a cake from Dorothy Lane Market, which turned out to be cheaper and much more reliable. The owner finally called me 3 days before my wedding to apologize for the lack of communication and said she was still making my cake.... so I told her that it was much too late for that and requested a refund of my deposit. 2 months later, still no refund.
I wouldn't recommend this bakery to anyone looking for dependable service, especially for important occasions.
EDIT: 1 year and 2 months later,...
Read moreI moved into a house in the alley right behind their bakery about a year ago, and was curious since my usual bakery I go to is all the way downtown while this one is conveniently in my backyard and I will forever choose this bakery as my go to hands down. It's so cute and homey and it's just a perfect little sweet slice of heaven for the neighborhood to enjoy, and I am absolutely in love with anything and everything I've tried so far. I love walking in and seeing something new to taste. I always try to budget myself before going in, but they are too strong for me to deny buying everything up, lol. The two ladies who own it are also the sweetest ever, and they treat you like family. It always warms my heart when I stop in after not buying anything for awhile and they are always excited to me - I'm always greeted with "oh yay! You didn't leave us!" 🤣 I love this place, will come back for sure...
