Save A Lot — Local services in Dayton

Over priced terrible quality food. Really poor selection. This place isn't much better than a corner store. *follow up: I don't send email feedback because the only feedback most businesses care about these days are public reviews. That being said, Save A Lot is the only grocery store in that area. They charge the same (or more for certain items) as Kroger, Meijer, Wholefoods, etc. However the quality is not the same. Almost every single food item contains a long list of preservatives, non-nutritious fillers and high fructose corn syrup. Yogurt? High fructose corn syrup. Crackers? High fructose corn syrup. Peanut butter? High fructose corn syrup. Pasta sauce? You get the idea. And there are no other brands to choose from. There's a reason you only see Save A Lot stores in poorer...

I was in yesterday and both cashiers did not seem to be happy at all. Someone asked the blonde cashier how she was doing and she curtly replied she’d had better days. My cashier was the brunette and she looked very much like she should have stayed home. No smiles or greeting. I probably won’t be coming back here. What a depressing place to shop. I love to get a smile when I’m giving my money away. I also work in retail and I know that this is no way for customers to be treated. I would lose my job for such behavior. The short blonde with the glasses is one of the rudest cashiers I have ever seen. Had she been mine, I would have left my selections behind and walked out.
