Stan the Donut Man — Restaurant in Dayton

Nothing special about there dougnuts went there today and got chocolate glazed cake and chocolate Bavarian and both weren't good at all, the chocolate cake didn't taste like chocolate cake dougnuts should and the chocolate icing and the Bavarian cream were not good either if you want quality dougnuts that taste great go to Duncan doughnuts I promise you won't regret it nore would you want to eat stans again! I was being nice giving 3 stars, stans use to have great dougnuts but there quality and taste have went down hill just my opinion! I'll definitely be going to Duncan doughnuts next time! If I could give Stan the doughnut man some advice I'd say start using better chocolate icing, better chocolate cake, and better Bavarian cream! Duncan doughnuts has you beat on all three!!! I have been a huge fan of Stan’s for dozens of years. I brag about the quality of the product to everyone and I mean a ton of people. Howe er, this morning I made up my mind that it was my last visit. As a business owner myself I understand how important it is that the customer gets the best treatment but I feel that Stans must look for the surliest girls in the area. This is the second time I have been treated so poorly. I tried to call back and talk to the owner but another clerk wouldn’t let me If I owned this place I would want to know about the attitude of my employees. 30 years ago every neighborhood had a small independent Donut Shop. Now each has a gas sation with Krispy Kreme donuts in a warmer. This small donut shops is one of the last and a real gem. The only place a round you can get that small town donut shop environment. They do make the donuts on site daily, they aren't shipped in from a far off bakery. You can see into the back where the bakers are hard at work. I stopped in to pick up some donuts with a specific request from someone and they were out of them up front, but counter-person went to the back and spoke to the bakers and several minutes later I had a fresh custard donut with chocolate icing on top. Can't beat that service. I have to personally warn you to stay away from the jelly filled donuts with peanut butter icing. Highly addictive, so best not...
