Updated review: I recently had the pleasure of attending both the Pre-Grand Opening and the soft opening with the new owners, Chris and Lana, and their outstanding management team, Jenn and Spencer. The atmosphere was vibrant, and we found ourselves staying for hours, enjoying the new drinks and engaging in some fun games. Our experience was nothing short of fantastic!
What truly stands out is the commitment the new management and owner have to the local history and their passionate efforts to keep this charming small town alive. This saloon is poised to become a cornerstone of the community, preserving and celebrating the rich heritage of the area.
The venue itself is impeccably clean and fresh, while still embracing a nostalgic vibe that makes it feel like home. Additionally, I’m impressed by their diverse range of events, both private and public, along with their dedication to maintaining a clean and welcoming environment. This is a place that truly values its history and community, and I can't wait to see how it continues to thrive!Went to both the PreGrand Opening and then the soft opening with the new owner and his awesome Management. Great atmosphere, we ended up staying a few hours, tried the new drink, played some games and overall had a great experience. The new management and owner are very much into the local history and keeping the small town on the map. I see this going saloon going to great avenues to keep the history of the location and area alive. Nice and clean and fresh, yet still nostalgic. Love that they have events that are private, public and cleaning...
Read moreThis place discriminates which is highly illegal. We were turned away on two separate occasions, simply because we wanted to support local. We have a service dog because of a legal disability and we were illegally asked to patronize outside although our dog was extremely well behaved. The other time, although there were about 20 people in the bar, drinking alcohol, they turned us away because they didn’t have their “liquor license”. Obviously we will not return, we choose to patronize other local establishments who show respect and gratitude. Ps. They did NOT ask if our dog was a service dog nor did they ask what her task was. We would have happily provided that information. They further continued to explain that her certification which is not required, needed to come from .Gov, which does not exist. They clearly discriminated against us, and our dog is very well trained and very well behaved. Quoted from ADA.GOV, Service Dogs Must Be Under Control: Of its handler, and ADA requires service animal must be harnessed, leashed or tethered and must be controlled by their handle which she was. Service Dogs are NOT required to be certified or go through a professional training program, or not required to wear a vest or I. d., that indicates they’re a service dog. We’re not even required to provide my disability certification from my doctor, as that would Be a HIPPA violation. Odeum, we wish you all the best, however, we are extremely disappointed in your...
Read moreI wanted to give a shout out for this business. What a great building! 1863 is when it was constructed, that makes it older than the State of Nevada! Step back in time and get a glimpse of what the old west was like as you step into this remarkable, noble structure. Rest your arms on the same bar that Mark Twain used to when he was living here in Nevada. I love places like this because of their history. It will definitely be worth you while to stop by and enjoy this great place and support a great local family while doing it. Invite your friends to meet you there, take a tour and enjoy some libations while you are there!!
