this is pretty long and I'm going to keep it this way but I am going edit for errors and break it up and make it easier to read once I get to the house please enjoy!
I thought this was going to be my first or at least one of very few one star ratings for a restaurant.
But I'm giving this Wendy's just outside of Dayton four stars because great customer service trumps the extra long waiting time!
Here's the story.
first of all it's a Saturday night and looks like the university just had an event so I expected a longer than normal wait time but my way time ended up being 20 minutes I don't believe I've ever waited for a fast food restaurant for more than 20 minutes for my personal food.
The cashier told me there will be a 12 minute wait on my grilled chicken and I guess she thought I would say no I didn't want the chicken because she told me my order was $2 and something which was the price of my drink I told her I asked her did she get my number 9 or whatever the chicken number was and she made an interesting sound and gave me a new Total and let me know I had a 12 minute wait 19 minutes later I had to call the number and someone answered.
I told her I was parked waiting for my grilled chicken meal then she asked the crew was there someone waiting for a girl chicken and they say yes it just came off the Grill at that point I started to give them a one star in a negative review because I thought they had forgot about me but I decided to wait since she said it was coming out right now a minute later a guy came out with my chicken meal you apologize said he gave me a large fry instead of the medium and he added a cookie his tone was excellent his voice was on point great customer service that changed my whole attitude.
Of course I checked the food as before I drove off the fries were fresh the sandwich was hot and fresh cookie was on point and I was excited as I pulled away I saw about 13 cars in the drive thru how do I know what's 13 cuz I went around and counted them and I said wow it's a lot of trouble going on inside that building but he came out and gave me great customer service is no way I can give them my 1 * negative rating
I would like to give him a 5 because I I just would like to but I had to wait 20 minutes and they told me I was going to wait 12 and they didn't come out and tell me it didn't say anything but again that great customer service is what stopped me from giving this Wendys a one-star tonight another thing is where I was parked on the side of the building I got the watch summer Castaway that was a great movie with Tom Hanks oh that was kind of cool to like Saturday night at the movies anyway guys shop just Wendys hopefully it's not when there's a lot of trouble going on is something happening tonight but I'm sure it's not always like this cuz this is a busy area Trucking stations McDonald's is next door they're closed down for the night so I know this Wendy's is definitely a great Wendys to visit just outside of Dayton going down 75 heading towards Cincinnati it's got to be a great Wendy's fresh is brand new and again great customer service all right guys this was a long one thanks for...
Read moreI am changing my review of this restaurant.. after waiting in line for 15min at the Wayne Ave behind only one car.. Only to advance as the car ahead goes to the pick up window.. We are told to leave, they are he no longer taking orders .. (yeah, their computer system only seems to work 15min per day.. and only when the credit card machine is not working) So we go to Edwin C Moses.. We are two separate people with two separate methods to pay with two Wendy’s phone accounts in one car. After waiting again, we finally get to order.. Sorry, we can’t take two orders in the drive thru.. (I do believe already this puts this Wendy’s on the map as the only restaurant in the United States that cannot take two orders from a single car..) but, put as such I take myself, my money, exit the car, walk around the building to front.. go in, and stand at the counter.. Only to be ignored there too.. There is no one with any plan to take my order either.. despite knowing the person I came in with was about ready to pick up their food.. One lady walks up.. tells me to wait.. 5 min later.. she asks which register they are using.. no one answers.. no one ever comes back.. people look at me, but for some cosmic reason, I am to be denied Wendy’s today.. So, Wendy’s.. Deny me any basic respect at your drive thru.. twice.. and deny my humanity while deny my money at your counter.. Such will I deny you access to my money forever and ever.. Good bye. ✌️ Oh, for the rest of you that may actually be worthy of ordering here, the order that was taken.. Yeah, well.. The first sandwich so cold, mealy and gross that the person I was with couldn’t even stand to eat the second sandwich.. However, the McDonald’s order from two doors down I ended up having to make from Wendy’s drive thru (Thank you, McDonald’s!) was fantastic!!!!!!!!!
The sad thing is, I really wanted Wendy’s today.. such that I drove to two separate Wendy’s miles apart to give them my money.. but I think I really just don’t need them anymore.. or their $12 combo meals.. I can sit thru and endless soup and salad at Olive Garden, for about the same amount.. and be happy.. Because compared to the Dave Thomas days.. I feel bad for the man’s legacy.. The Wendy’s his name is attached to is but a ghost of Wendy’s past.. bad management, bad computer system, slow as hell, mediocre food.. app hardly works.. Why? Why do...
Read moreAfter walking in and standing @ the counter the staff did not acknowledge our presence until we had made eye contact with all 4 visible employees and we called out to them, we ordered our food, after ordering and waiting for 15 minutes for our food we were given x2 bags rolled shut and told have a good day, our ordered food was half missing, wrong and cold, we ordered strawberry frosty's and were given 1 chocolate and 1 vanilla, after pointing out the frosty problem they stated we put the chocolate and vanilla in the machine with the strawberry and told there should be a hint of strawberry before he walked away, when pointed out that there was missing/incorrect food a employee laughed and said ya I know, I didn't finish making it, we asked 3 more times for our food before they listened to what was missing and stopped attempting to give us a single burger and give us the missing baconator, double stack and fries. Through out the entire time we were there one woman continued to yell about staffing and not having enough employees, repeatedly stating "I'm not dealing with this tonight, I'm locking the doors their leaving" The employees were polite when directly interacting even thanking us for our patience, followed by rude and yelling complaints about us/the store while standing 6ft away from us. We noticed occasional water dripping from the ceiling over the counter, most of the dining room was dirty, there was a employee sleeping in the dining room when we arrived and prior to us leaving was back cooking/preparing food, the food was all cold except the chili, they told us they were out of the items to make one of the burgers after they "finished it". I used the restroom prior to leaving and the mirror was covered in soap, the urinal/toilet were covered in hair/something black and there was a car air freshener hung...
