Poor service, horrible food and weird atmosphere. Decided to check this place out with its rave reviews but was very disappointed. Walked in and not a look or "Hi" from any employees, I know it's a 'seat yourself' but being a first timer it felt uncomfortable. Clientele is mainly the older crowd. Main complaint was the food itself. Hamburgers (supposedly the best in Green Bay?) were undercooked and dry, if that makes sense. The buns were atrocious, hard as a rock and dry. Would definitely buy better buns. "Grilled Cheese" is basically their dry hamburger bun with cheese not even melted. Yikes! Chicken tenders are your run of the mill store bought frozen, nothing special. Fries were ok, if fresh and hot. 1 of our orders were fresh, but the other fry order was soggy and cold. Onion rings, cheese curds and the mushrooms were pretty good. Mozz sticks were mediocre. Nothing I would go back for. The mushrooms and the Chili Cheese Dog were the favorites. The Chili cheese dog was very tasty but needed a crunch, as in diced onions or coleslaw (which I forgot to add) or both would've really sent this over the top of delicious. I was also brought a weird, tiny glass for my can of coke which was hard to drink from but that was the least of the complaints. The waitress never came back to the table to add the coleslaw or ask us anything really. She took our order and later, very later, dropped off the check and never came back for it. After waiting several minutes I had to go up to the bar and pay without any "how was it" "thank you" or anything. Very odd service style. Uncomfortable atmosphere. The food was brought out by the kitchen staff (who were awesome and working their butts off) and our server we saw twice as mentioned above. I left a good tip but I really regret it, hopefully it is split with the kitchen staff as they were more helpful than our actual server, who didn't even have time to check on us or take our payment because she was 'stocking' the bar for some reason. Even though she saw me standing at the bar to pay for five minutes and eventually asked another server? to help me? What? All in all, horrible food, inattentive and poor service staff and odd atmosphere. Would give 0 stars if possible and would warn anyone against...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of visiting Drift Inn for lunch with a co-worker, and I must say that my experience was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment we stepped inside, we were greeted with warm and friendly smiles, setting the tone for what turned out to be an unforgettable dining adventure.
As we perused the menu, I couldn't resist ordering a few cheeseburgers and fries, but little did I know that a hidden gem awaited me. The chili! We were fortunate enough to receive a personal recommendation to try it, and let me tell you, it was nothing short of divine. The chili had the perfect combination of flavors, offering a rich and hearty taste that left me craving more. The balance of spices and the quality of the ingredients were evident with each bite I took.
What truly impressed me about Drift Inn, however, was the attention to detail in both the presentation of the food and the overall dining experience. The burgers were cooked to perfection, with a juicy, flavorful patty nestled between fresh buns. The fries were crispy, golden, and seasoned just right. The care taken in crafting these dishes was evident, and it made the meal all the more enjoyable.
Moreover, the ambiance at Drift Inn was cozy and inviting. The friendly staff made us feel right at home, attending to our needs promptly and with genuine care. Whether it was recommending the chili or ensuring our glasses were refilled, their attentiveness didn't go unnoticed, and it added an extra layer of satisfaction to our lunch.
I must admit, as I finished my meal, I couldn't help but plan my next visit to Drift Inn. The overall experience, combined with the outstanding food, is a testament to the dedication and passion that goes into ensuring each customer has the best dining experience possible.
If you're in the mood for a delectable lunch, featuring mouthwatering cheeseburgers, perfectly cooked fries, and absolutely delightful chili, I highly recommend Drift Inn. With its cozy atmosphere, friendly staff, and exceptional food, this dining establishment undoubtedly deserves five well-deserved stars. I, for one, am eagerly looking forward to...
Read moreI want to first start by saying that I understand the Drift Inn is a staple for Chili in the Green Bay area and a popular place all around and what I write probably won't make a difference to their day to day attendance, however, I feel the need to share my experience tonight. I stopped in at 5:30 tonight, and yes they were quite busy. There were open seats at the bar so I sat down. I was there to buy a few to go chili containers. I sat at the bar for 15 minutes while the bartender continued to serve everyone around me. She looked straight at me several times as I sat there with my wallet and money on the bar. A few minutes after I came, a large group of people came in and went to the back room. They proceeded to come to the bar a couple people at the time and were served by the bartender while I sat in the same place waiting to be approached. As I said, 15 minutes and no acknowledgement that was even there. This is unacceptable and quite rude. The few people around me witnessed this and my disapproval of the situation. What I experienced tonight is enough to keep me from patronizing this establishment again. I hope the owners read this review and take the necessary steps so this doesn't happen to anyone else. It has definitely left a bad taste in my mouth and I will certainly make sure I tell others of...
