Five Guys — Restaurant in Ashwaubenon

Holy heck. We actually have one of these in Sudbury I'm told, but this was recommend to me by an American friend when I asked her 'what's the best American fast food burger joint?'

So, the greatness has transcended the border, but nonetheless my experience here was wonderful and foreign to me. Take the austere interior for instance: it's like you're eating at Costco or something. A warehouse of potatoes. The cashier was exceptional at taking and confirming our orders. Ok, ok, all is well. I ordered not a small burger--surely these are for kids--but a regular bacon cheeseburger.

Well this burger turned out to be a double. A double! My heart was pounding mercilessly at this luxury--all this, for me? Yes! And it was wonderful. It inspired palpitations, sweat, love and hate all at once. It was a cosmic burger: at once swallowing my soul as I in turn devoured it.

I think you get the idea. No nonsense.

The Skinny: Great place to stop for a Burger & Fries. Food is made to order so expect to wait over 5 minutes to get your food. They have Keto-Friendly options (Burger wrapped in lettuce, diet soda).

The Good:

-Great, Fresh, Juicy Burgers with the toppings you want packed on a fresh bun. (They will also wrap the burger in lettuce if you're mindful of carbohydrates). They have a wide variety of toppings to select from. Note Little Burgers are 1 patty, the regular Burger is 2 patties.

-The Fries, freshly cut and prepared for you. I suggest getting them with Cajun seasoning. You also get a ton of fries. A Small is more than enough for me.

-Drinks. They have the soda machine with 1000 options for Coke products. They also have a wide range of low/no calorie options.

The Bad: -Price. If you're expecting a low cost burger like one of the many chain fast food places, this isn't it. Expect to pay $10+ for your meal if you're getting a burger,...
