A culinary oasis nestled in the heart of DeBary, this restaurant has undoubtedly become the beacon of gastronomic delight that our community has been yearning for.

As I perused the menu, my attention was immediately captured by the unexpected gem nestled within the kids' section: a mouthwatering steak that seemed to defy the boundaries of traditional children's fare. Prepared with finesse and culinary expertise, this delectable cut of meat showcased a perfect blend of tenderness and flavor, leaving my daughter and I equally enchanted. It's not often that one finds a kids' menu item capable of sparking such a sense of culinary wonder.

Equally enchanting was the crispy chicken sandwich, an embodiment of culinary artistry that transported my taste buds to new heights. Crafted with impeccably moist thigh meat, each bite was a harmonious symphony of textures and flavors. The hot honey glaze danced on my palate, a delightful balance of sweet and heat that left me yearning for yet another delectable bite.

And let us not forget the brisket sandwich, a masterpiece that beckoned to us from the depths of culinary excellence. The succulent, slow-cooked brisket, tender and rich in flavor, was a testament to the chef's dedication to sourcing the finest ingredients. With every savory bite, I couldn't help but appreciate the commitment to quality and the connection to the source of these remarkable ingredients.

Speaking of which, the restaurant's transparent approach to sourcing was a refreshing revelation. Knowing where our food came from added an extra layer of appreciation to the entire dining experience. Every bite was infused with the essence of freshness and authenticity, a testament to the restaurant's dedication to providing an unparalleled culinary journey.

In a town yearning for a culinary haven, this establishment has emerged as a true gem. Its commitment to excellence, coupled with a menu that seamlessly marries innovation and tradition, has undoubtedly elevated the culinary landscape of DeBary. With each bite, I felt a sense of connection to both the food and the community it nourishes. This is not merely a restaurant; it's a culinary revelation that DeBary deserved, and I am grateful to have been...

I know of no other restaurant in the area that goes to the lengths that this one does to bring beautiful, locally grown food to its customers. The owner, also a clam farmer, is working with other local farmers and artisans to raise the quality of the foods served and to support the local economy. That alone does not make for a good dining experience, so she works with her chef to create dishes that highlight the freshness and superior flavor of fresh picked produce and thoughtfully raised meats. That entails a lot of coordination, and is subject to weather and other seasonal issues. This is a labor of love for both of them and given the current difficulty in finding and keeping good staff and the economic constraints for a young start-up company that has invested savings and literally blood, sweat and tears into creating something special-they are doing quite well. I applaud the bravery and tenacity that it takes to open a restaurant, especially in today's environment. I want to support people who are trying to make a difference, provide a good working environment for people and offer quality over quantity. I am astonished at the vitriol that comes from some of these reviewers, as if they hold a personal grudge against the restaurant. Ask, instead of projecting some personal bias of your own (like what the non-rainbow multicolored planters mean-BTW the owner just likes bright colors, as seen now throughout the restaurant). Why not offer constructive criticism, while at the restaurant, when it can be helpful instead of trying to bring the place down online? If an item you like is not available, ask why-it is probably out of season. Your fries were cold-tell your server who can fix it, not Yelp or Google who can't! In this case, I will cheer for the underdog, the one with the balls and the nerve to dream big and go for it. Haters are always gonna hate-so be the bigger person and look for ways to build up rather than knock down- especially when you have nothing to lose; but could cost someone who is really trying to lose...

I recently visited The Salted Goat with high hopes, but unfortunately, my experience left much to be desired. From start to finish, the evening was marred by various issues that significantly impacted my overall enjoyment. First and foremost, the service was incredibly lackluster. The staff seemed disinterested and inattentive, making it challenging to get their attention when we needed assistance. Our orders took an unreasonably long time to arrive, and when they did, they were often incorrect or poorly executed. The waitstaff seemed overwhelmed and disorganized, failing to provide even the basic level of service expected at a restaurant. Moving on to the food, I was deeply disappointed. The menu promised an array of flavors and culinary delights, but the actual execution fell far short of expectations. The dishes lacked finesse and creativity, and the presentation was unappealing. The flavors were bland, and some of the ingredients seemed stale or poorly prepared. It felt as though the kitchen was cutting corners and compromising on quality. Adding to the frustration, the ambiance of the restaurant was far from inviting. The lighting was harsh, the seating was uncomfortable, and the noise level was excessive. It was difficult to hold a conversation without straining our voices, which made for an unpleasant dining experience. To top it all off, the prices were exorbitant for the subpar experience we received. Considering the lackluster service, mediocre food, and overall unappealing atmosphere, the value for money was abysmal. It was disheartening to spend hard-earned money on such a disappointing meal. In conclusion, my visit to The Salted Goat as an unfortunate letdown. The combination of poor service, lackluster food, uninviting ambiance, and high prices makes it difficult for me to recommend this establishment. I hope the management takes note of these issues and strives to improve, as there is certainly room for significant enhancement in all aspects of the...

If you love a good farm to table restaurant, then The Salted Goat is one to add to the must dos! It’s been on my list for a while, and I’m glad I finally went! I checked out their brunch menu, and also enjoyed one of their appetizers! Everything tasted so fresh and so good! They pride themselves with not only supporting local farmers, but also making every dish fresh to order! I definitely recommend giving them a try the next time you are in Volusia County! 😁 #supportlocal #foodie #thesaltedgoat #debaryfl #volusiacounty #farmtotable

The Salted goat restaurant I go to a lot of restaurants, and mostly give good reviews when deserved. However, this restaurant, was just amazing. First of all, it closes at 9:00 pm, yet at 8:45 they said “yes come in “ Most places close up about 15 minutes prior. Second, we were greeted with sincere warmth and enthusiasm. The owner of the restaurant Explained that the food source was all the local organic venues. I just think it’s great to support our local community. On the menu, they tell you which local venues that they buy all their products from. They have a regular menu but each day, according to what is available in the local market, the chef prepares special dishes for the day. This was my first time there, and I have to say I’ll definitely be going back. We ordered the appetizer, which was oyster baguettes, delicious start to an even more amazing mouthwatering experience with the entrées. I had a 6 ounce filet mignon which was cooked to perfection, the local beef ( HM beef Co. /Webster beef Co.) I must say makes a big difference. It came with some mashed potatoes.& and zucchini andcarrot slices( Tomazin Farms NSB, Fl.) absolutely delicious. Next we had the Wahoo fish, again cooked to perfection. It was not fried. It was like sautéed, and it had a pineapple mango chutney. Also came with some local vegetables which were just out of this world. I cannot say enough about how impressed I was with this restaurant from beginning to end. They also have music on the weekends. I’ll be going back for that, I forgot to mention the wine list is superb, they have a sommelier who has especially picked out an excellent wine list. And the house wine was also delicious. More than anything about this restaurant was just the atmosphere and the ambience of the people, we did not feel rushed, even though it was late. Excellent excellent choice coming from a guru foodie.! I will post my next experience. if I could get this a 10 star rating I would. It was just that fantastic.
