I miss our local Winn Dixie, now Fresco y Mas. We had the one on Providence Blvd and the one on Courtland that is close. I drove to the DeBary Winn Dixie because it was closer the the Howland store. We filled our cart quickly with our Thanksgiving staples. We got to the register and was greeted by Lizzy. She was friendly and processed our groceries quickly. I enquired why the potatoes that were in the BOGO bin did not come up as a BOGO. Apparently someone had filled the bin with the wrong Russet potatoes and only the SE brand were BOGO. Lizzy asked if we wanted the BOGO potatoes and had someone take back the 4 bags and exchange them. There were already 6 customers behind us and i apologized to them. When the other cashier got back with the potatoes she opened the other register and took about 6 customers from the line I was in. Lizzy had to void the first 4 bags and re-ring the new ones. She then said my total and asked for payment. We had already been in line 15 minutes and the people behind us were really upset. It was 6 Oāclock and the store was really busy. When I inserted my card something popped up on the register. Because the bags of potatoes were voided it required an override. Lizzy called for the override but was told the manager and supervisor were in the cash office and could not come to the register for 5 minutes. One of the other customers in the line the other cashier just open said it was inexcusable no one was available at the busiest time of day. She said that is why she almost never comes here and goes to Walmart. She was telling them to get the manager. The girl at the self checkout called for a manager. It had already been 5 minutes and she was told it would be 5 minutes. I felt sorry for Lizzy because she had to keep apologizing to the people in her line and looked as if she might cry. All of the cashiers looked like high school students and should never have been put in this situation. I have managed many businesses and you never scheduled a cash pickup or something that occupies all the manager time during your busiest time of day. No one was available to turn the key in the register and we waited 15 minutes. All the people in both lines were very upset and taking out on Lizzy who was put in a very difficult situation. If I were Lizzy father I would be filing a complaint with the company. This will likely be my first and last visit to this store. Very poor management and I feel bad for...

I go to this store every week and spend over $1,000 a month at this store and for some reason the Manager on Duty tonight Mike decided he wanted to harass me and follow me around the store like I was trying to steal something. I was moving stuff around in my cart and I had a box of Patron that was bagged from the Winn Dixie liquor store that was already purchased. Next thing you know I look over my shoulder while Iām talking to my fiancĆ© on the phone and I hear this random lady talking to the manager saying ālooks like heās taking stuff in and out of the bagā referring to the Patron bag from the liquor store. I was literally moving things around in my cart to see what all I had as I was on a budget. I asked them if I could help them(Mike the Manager and a Random Lady) with something and they acted speechless, āUh, no we are just talking.ā Riiiiigggghhhtttt sure you are. Why not just be honest? I ended up walking away and continuing to shop for me, my fiancĆ©, and my two little boys 2 and 4 years old as I have been working all day since 8 in the morning and its now about 6:30pm. I walked clear across the entire store back to the fruit section and sure enough before I could leave that area the Manager was standing there watching me where I then Confronted him again asking why is he following me. Of course, he said he wasnāt, but Iām clear across the store still shopping and seeing you near by the whole time as Iām shopping but the closest was by the fruit area where I had to say something. Now on my way to check out where now heās no where to be found. I went to the self checkout and I told one of the staff who watches self checkout That I would like to have the Manager Mike to come out and watch me scan every item since he wants to follow me around the store harassing me like Iām stealing something. He finally came out and thatās what I asked him to do and thatās when he got hot and said heās not going to do that. A few words were said and he threatened to kick me out of the store without me being able to buy my families groceries. The situation ended by him asking me āoh are you guilty or somethingā? Which I thought was very funny considering my receipt was $140 or so. Very UNPROFESSIONAL and is Unacceptable for someone who spends $1,000s of dollars a month at your store. Figure It Out...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThis Winn-Dixie will be my go to location from now on. It was the day before Thanksgiving and i couldn't find an i had been looking for and this location showed they had a few left in stocks. When I arrived i searched for 20mins in the frozen section but could not find what I was looking for. So, went to one of the cashiers and asked if he knew where I might be able to find this item. He quickly reached for an item to look up what i was asking him about but instead put it down the device and said I'll closed just help you find it real quick and before i knew it he closed his line down and set off to help me find what I was looking for. I can't even begin to tell you how impressed I was. Most people would have just pointed and sent me on another goose chase but not this ypung man. We ended up finding the item after asking another employees. She knew right where it was and thanked them both. Both of those employees were super friendly and both stopped what they were doing to help me out. This store is about 15 mins out of my way but because of this young man, I will go 15 mins out of my way. I would rather shop at a store with employees who genuinely care then to shop at one that doesn't. Thank you to young man and lady who helped me find what I was looking for, you guys...
