J's Rolled Ice Cream & Drinks — Restaurant in Decatur

I must confess, initially, I wasn't aware of this gem due to its somewhat inconspicuous signage. However, I strongly encourage anyone in the vicinity to visit this delightful spot. My wife and I recently had the pleasure of stopping by. Curious, we inquired with the friendly staff at the front counter if there was any affiliation with J's Patisserie, and to our delight, the answer was yes! Both establishments are exceptional. A heads-up: the toy machines are priced a tad steep at $5 per game, but that's a minor point as the main attraction is definitely not the games. The ice cream here transcends the ordinary; it's crafted with such finesse that it feels almost too exquisite to consume. We're already looking forward to our next visit and hope you'll decide to experience...

Every day is a great day for ice cream... especially if rolled ice cream truly is healthier than regular ice cream (less sugar).

It was cool to watch them make the rolled ice cream right there in front of you using the liquid nitrogen to quick freeze and roll the mixture. Rolled ice cream had its origins in Thalland, and this ice cream shoppe definitely has an Asian flavor...Those toy vending machines and the Boba drinks add tp that overall vibe.

Anyway, I had rhe vanilla ice cream with Fruity Pebbles..aka the Sunday Mornng. Awesome.. heaven for sure..

Its located basically next door to the north Walmart 4840 N Prospect, Decatur)....

Discovered this place when dropping a vehicle off for some repairs. First time having rolled ice cream. Liked it so much we tried to take our daughter to get some the day we picked up our car (mind you this place is 45 minutes from my house)... but they were closed....and we were bummed.

Note to self: They are not open on Tuesdays! 😃
