Came for the grand re-opening of trinity restruant. A little background, 2 exhausted kids 6&10, a husband and a tired wife in school. We are self proclaimed foodies who know how to properly cook and know what good food is when we have it, to say we have high expectations is an understatement. To start off we made reservations for 630pm April 30th (opening day) on Friday night prior. We were welcomed immediately and sat 10 minutes early *first win of the night. The ambiance is southern charm meets sophistication. A perfect blend of warm welcoming tones and textures makes for a transitional space. Perfect for business, date night, girls night, family night truly a transitional design. Beautifully redesigned and charming. We ordered waters all around and were torn between the corn bread loaf or the fried green tomatoes. The tomatoes won, they were brought out and the plating was so colorful and vibrant, you get 3 perfectly Crispy green tomatoes topped with a delicious Pico de gallo that contains corn giving it just enough sweetness to balance the tangy tart tomato. Even my tomato hating 10 yo said It was delicious and she would eat it again. We ordered the kids chicken tenders and french fries, nothing crazy but still all the satisfying. I was torn between the shrimp & grits, moroccan porkchop and the Chilean seabass. The Chilean sea bass won, I ordered some roasted asparagus as a side. My husband noticing my dilemma in ordering and like a good husband ordered the moroccan porkchop so I could try it. He is the real mvp. He (I) also ordered a side of collard greens, every southerner knows there's a right and wrong way to make them and if your granny isn't in the kitchen it's usually wrong. Our food was brought out in a timely manner, first bite was magical. The Chilean sea bass was so perfectly cooked, tender exploding with buttery, sweet flavors below a bed of fresh sautéed creamed spinach topped with a creamy sauce. The absolute best fish dish I have had in years from anywhere. I sparingly shared bites with everyone at the table all in agreeance that is was the best fish they had ever had. The cooking of the fish was remarkable. The asparagus was perfectly cooked tender but still firm. The porkchop was true to its description warm moroccan flavors, roasted vegetables, a harisa yogurt dipping sauce and crumbled nuts. The textures and flavors so intriguing and added so much depth to the pork chop. The collard greens were so tender and flavorful. You could taste the vinegar, salty smoke, spice all perfectly balanced and well done. There were no left overs. Plates were licked clean. To end the night we shared a deconstructed strawberry cheesecake. I being someone who does not like strawberries was keeping a open mind. The fluffy cheesecake desert came out to the table and only survived a mere 60 seconds. The salty graham cracker crumble crust paired with the fluffy, creamy tangy cheesecake filling topped with the sweet tart strawberry sauce and my ultimate favorite twist, chiffoned fresh BASIL. I could not think of a better ending to a meal. The owners were present and all staff worked as a team to take care of the guests. They do there best to make every guest feel welcome and it shows. The chef Definetly put alot love and thought into each dish. I can not wait to return and try the beet salad or maybe the steak or the surf and turf. Definetly going to try the corn bread loaf. Overall a must go place in little wise county for BIG flavors. 10/10...
Read moreI had high hopes when trying this place for the first time, and all but the bartenders and our server fell short. First off, I had reservations, and had received multiple reminders about it. When I got there, the restaurant side was locked during business hours. We decide to go in through the coffee shop entrance, and walked past an empty hostess stand, a busy bartender, and only a few customers. Mind you, this was at 5pm. We made it all the way through to the restaurant side, which looked closed off for an event. I had to shout over to a group of about 6 employees behind the counter on the restaurant side to ask where do we go for the restaurant, and that I had reservations. Everyone scattered and a young gal comes over to us as she pops a piece of chocolate in her mouth, and informs us that the restaurant side is closed for a private event, and to follow her back to the coffee/bar side. We did that, and got seated. Nothing was set up for dinner service yet, no silverware or water glasses. This was AFTER 5pm, when everything should have already been done. The hostess did not let our server know she sat us, and so we waited for a good 5-10-ish minutes before he greeted us. There was only 1 other table at the time, and a handfull of people up at the bar. One of the bartenders was setting up the restaurant for dinner service while we waited for our server, and did not offer water or drink orders. We finally got our server's attention, and he was mostly awesome after that. The food was pretty good...however, my husband Rosemary Chicken came out still bleeding a bit, and we had to send it back, and wait another 15-20mins for a replacement entree. We were bummed that the chicken fried steak plate came with zero sides, just the meat. Overall, I was very disappointed that nobody from the restaurant did not bother to reach out to me after seeing my reservation and make mention that we would not get to be in the dining room. I would have cancelled my reservation, as I did not go to you guys to sit at the coffee shop side for a fine dining experience. I'm also disappointed that a bunch of your employees could find the time to huddle in the back and eat chocolate, but could not set the coffee shop area up for dinner time, since that was where the open dining was taking place that evening, or be up at the hostess stand for...
Read moreWhat a delightful surprise! My family took me there for my birthday last Saturday! I absolutely loved it! We went there for brunch and mine was FABULOUS! I ordered the steak and eggs and the picture does not do it justice. My husband does a good job with steaks and the steak I ordered was absolutely delicious. I think it was prime sirloin which was grilled with garlic butter, and it was a perfect medium rare. I cannot tell you how good it was! Also, my eggs were cooked very well and I enjoyed it immensely. Because I was trying to cut back on the bread, I ordered the fresh fruit 🍇🫐 and surprisingly it was delicious also. I don’t know how to describe it, it was just wonderful! My husband ordered the “Morning Burger.” 🍔 He said he would give it a five 5️⃣ and truly enjoyed it! He said the egg and the burger were perfectly cooked and was seasoned well. He also said their french fries were great! He said they were lightly battered and very flavorful. Much to my surprise, the waitress asked me could she bring me a piece of pumpkin cheesecake for my birthday. I accepted and what an absolutely delicious piece of cheesecake that was! I asked for spoons for everyone so I could share it, and I would also give that a five 5️⃣ tooand I’m not even a pumpkin lover! My granddaughter enjoyed it, my husband enjoyed it, and I thoroughly enjoyed it also.
Kayla was our waitress and she made us feel very welcome and valued as customers. She was attentive and personable and made our dining experience there that much better.
I definitely feel we’ll go there again and I’m so glad we discovered this treasure! We hadn’t eaten there in quite some time because they quit serving food for a period of time, but when my family found out, they had opened it again and were serving brunch, we decided to go. I’m so glad we did and what a positive experience...
