Amaezing Sweet Shoppe — Restaurant in Deerfield Township

Possibly the best Key Lime pie and Lemon pie with Raspberry Meringue in the city. As good as some famous pies from Key West.

I am a huge fan of Key Lime and Lemon pies as the tart flavors are a favorite of mine. I have had them shipped them from Florida and they are noted to be outstanding. I have custom ordered them from well known bakeries in the Cincinnati area. Some are good. Many are lacking in tart flavor, crust and consistency.

I recently discovered this bakery, which is just a few moments walk from a Tractor Supply. After making an online order for the Key Lime and the Lemon Pie the order was confirmed by email and a pickup time was given.

The place is small but immaculate in cleanliness. I was greeted by the owner. She was pleasant and after confirming my order, she placed my pies in boxes that would protect the meringue topping and whipped cream. To protect the delicate toppings she offered to help place them in the car.

I consider myself a self professed expert on tart pies. These are some of the best I have had. I did request extra tartness, which may be why they satisfied my palate. But, the crusts were absolutely unequaled in taste.

The Lemon Raspberry Meringue pie had a pastry type layered crust that was delicious. On top of a tasty lemon pie was a firm meringue topping that had just the right texture and consistency to make for an exceptional treat.It was a layered delight.

The Key Lime was on a perfectly prepared prepared graham cracker crust that was neither too soft nor too hard. Key lime pie should be firm yet have a tartness and texture that allows the filling to be savored. In this case, the perfect crust augmented the sensory delight of the pie.

I am excited to try some of their other offerings.

Good service, good communication by the owner by email in confirming the order, a small but immaculate storefront, and two delicious custom baked pies.

If you are a fan of superb Key Lime or Lemon pies, you have found a place that equals the best.

Update: I recently tried the Baklava. If you are a fan of true honey-sweetened walnut Baklava with a great filo crust, these are the best. Some people use a sugar-based syrup, but the sweetness in these is from honey, adding a special taste and flavor.

Owner, Ashely, was superb on every level. Called her last minute (6 days before event) to make 36 custom sugar cookies for a wedding shower. My first 2 cookie bakers(in home bakers) bailed on me for various reasons. I was frantic and scrambled for cookies. To my surprise, Ashely answered my call five minutes before close of business. She agreed, I sent bride's inspiration photos, and color scheme. We met in person once, and what an explosion of magic Ashely produced. They were HUGE, HUGE, HUGE, such eye candy and delicious. I'll always admire the patience and detail Ashely puts into all her work. Ashely stayed super late evening before the event to finish up my cookies, and I picked them up 10 am morning of event. To my surprise, Ashely threw in some bonus sample decorated cookies. Cookies got glowing yum reviews, yummy chomping noises. Absolutely wonderful! This place is a hidden gem with the best iced coffee I’ve ever had—smooth, refreshing, and just perfect. I also picked up the cutest Mother’s Day cookies for my mom and mother-in-law, and they were a hit! Plus, I found the most amazing car air freshener that smells incredible.

The vibe here is totally unmatched—warm, welcoming, and just so charming. The owner and her daughter are incredibly sweet and go out of their way to make you feel at home. The space itself is adorable, and honestly, I could sit and chat there all day.
