I’ll start by saying that Le Peep looks promising when you walk in. Nice atmosphere, charming decor. It makes you think "Yeah, this is gonna be a great start to Sunday." Spoiler alert: it wasn't.
Stopped by around 9:00 am on a Sunday. We ordered a pretty standard breakfast: I went with an omelette and a waffle, while my bf opted for eggs, bacon, French toast, and a side of goetta. Simple enough, right? Wrong...
We waited. And waited. And then waited some more..... At one point, I thought maybe they had sent someone to France to pick the eggs and bacon fresh. Around minute 40, I was pretty sure they were personally teaching the chickens how to lay the eggs. By the 50th minute, I was one more coffee refill away from staging a breakfast protest SMH..
Finally, after 55 minutes, the food made its grand entrance. The taste? Just basic. Nothing wow or special. Honestly, IHOP makes better waffles and omelettes. My bf’s eggs and bacon tasted like they had been waiting for us longer than we had been waiting for them. The goetta? Let’s just say it didn’t add much to the plate.
Just when I thought the experience couldn’t get any more underwhelming, it was time to check out. The girl at the checkout seemed genuinely surprised that we were standing there, as if the concept of customers paying for their meal was a plot twist. But first, she had to finish texting... "priorities", you know. Once she blessed us with her attention, the checkout process finally commenced.
Look, I get it; good food can take time. But this wasn’t good enough to justify half of Hamilton on Broadway. Was it terrible? No. Was it worth 55 minutes of staring wistfully at other people's meals and reconsidering life...
Read moreUPDATE: tried to place carry order. Was "placed on hold" for 10 min, but it wasnt actual hold, someone just set the phone down. I could hear everything going on in the background! After 10 min, I hung up and tried to call back but all I got was a busy signal. Disappointing
This was my 3rd or 4th visit and everything was great! I live right down the street, so we checked in on the no wait app. We had about 20 min to kill before we headed to the restaurant. When we got there, we only had about a 5 min wait before we were sat. My only complaint is their waiting area isnt big enough and we were constantly in the way of servers, hosts and other patrons. Mary was our server and I've had her before. I dont know if she was having an off day but she was very soft spoken, didnt look either of us in the eye and was not very personable at all. Food came quickly and was hot and fresh with the excellent quality I associate with Le Peep. 2 managers stopped by to check on us and inquire about our visit. Prices are very reasonable as well. Breakfast for 2 under $30. Love LePeep and I...
Read moreWas in Loveland, OH and you NEED to eat here! It is soooooo good. I ordered the Sir Benedict Omelet minus the chicken and it was the one of the best omelets I have ever had. My nephew ordered the Goetta and eggs and practically fell off his chair it was so good although he said the eggs could have been cooked just a fraction longer for his taste. Our server, McKenna, was THE BEST! The staff were super happy and friendly and the food was AMAZING!! Even the store owner came over and checked on us as they were clearing a table. Fun giant metal rooster out the front to take a pic with and inside has little metal chickens and paintings of Llama's and cows. The wall clock is amazing! Menu has lots of egg dishes but also have meals with pancakes, burritos, crepes, burgers, salads, fruits etc. so everyone can find something. Menu is available as pdf download on their website. Saw that you can order takeout for pickup on their website. So glad we were in the area at the right time. Will definitely go back! (Note: This is...
