We have been going for years. Good local place. Usually reliable food. Our favorite dish is the steak tips. Saturday night we had a disappointing experience. Hostess came right away to seat us and led us past several empty booths to a table in the bar where it was hot and noisy. We said can’t we have a booth out front? She said they want to fill the bar area. Ok? We said, no not okay. But she walked away. Brought back menus and table Settings. We asked again to have a booth. She said if you really want that I can move you. Yes we really want it. Much cooler on a hot night. Ordered food. Came in a timely fashion . Later waitress came over and took my husbands half filled glass, gave him an odd look over her shoulder and returned with a refill. No words were spoken. The steak tips were delicious but the usual rice pilaf was replaced with a scoop of plain sticky white rice. The sauce is no longer teriyaki , as described in the menu, although it tasted fine. Wolfies pie in the past is usually the best. Lots of choices. Homemade style crust. Tonight there were only four choices, and 2 of them were cheesecake or brownie sundae. Not pie. I ordered peach since it’s July and local peaches are available. My husband ordered strawberry. We are not sure what we were served but nothing in the pies resembled real fruit . The filling was consisted of some sort of gelatinous goop with some other something in it. Definitely not fresh fruit! The crust was soggy and uncooked on the bottom. The serving was generous but I would take a smaller piece if it meant I could count on it tasting good. If you have to cut costs due to high cost of fresh ingredients, leave it off the menu. It was inedible! We won’t be back unless someone tells me something...
Read moreAwesome food, tasted fantastic. Great service too. Took a chance and drove over an hour just to get there. I was glad I did, good choice. Will go back when l have a chance to do it again.🍔😊✔⛳🎯
Went back after 2 weeks for I was in the area and stopped by for some good food. It was a holiday at 1 PM and not a sole was out and about in town, seemed like the sidewalks were taken in and the streets were empty of traffic. Everyone was at Wolfie's for the good food they serve.
Decided to look at the menu on my phone for there was a 20 minute wait. Ended up with the pastrami Sandwich plate that comes with soup and fries. Upgraded to the fish chowder for a small upcharge and had them hold the fries since I was getting a salad meal for a dinner salad that is quite large. The chowder was flat and I was disappointed that the chowder was not compt since I gave up the soup and fries for it.
The rest, salad and pastrami Sandwich was very tasty like I expected it to be, and it was delicious. Rootbeer for desert and is on tap, tasted great for I needed something to wash down all that good food. Pastrami Sandwich had a smokey flavor, thought it was the mustard until I saw into the kitchen and watched the chef light up the grill in fire. Boy those chefs know how to cook real good food. Need to keep the 5 stars for there rating 😁😁😁

Read moreAfter reading reviews of Wolfies, my brother and sister in law visiting from Arizona, and my daughter decided to stop for dinner. The atmosphere was nice. Cute restaurant. Stopped in about 4 pm, not busy at the time. When our meals were served, we had to wait for silverware. Which was quickly dropped on the table as the waitress ran by seating others. We ordered four separate orders. The lemon pepper fish, my daughter ordered, which she said was bland, having very little flavor and very dry. My daughter liked the coleslaw and sweet potato fries. Two orders of lasagna with meat sauce. My sister and I ordered the lasagna.
Both orders were missing meat sauce. Lasagna with absolutely no meat sauce! Lasagna noodles with cheese. Salads were very basic, on the small side. Lettuce, two cherry tomatoes, and a large red onion ring, and a few croutons. Dressing served in a small condiment cup. The sausage grinder was simply OK, very little sauce, dry. However, my brother said the sausage was good. Then said, just "so so" concerning the grinder overall. . The waitress never came back to the table after serving the meals. The bill came to $120.00 for 4 people. Overall, very disappointed with the meals, which I should have sent back to the kitchen. Certainly not a memorable meal. A one and done visit. It will not be on my must do list...
