Landmark Bar & Grill — Restaurant in DeForest

This has been the only and by far the worse experience. Customer service out the door as soon as we walked in! We were stared at by everyone including the bartender as soon as we walked in. Trust me when I say, EVERYONE turned heads stopped what they were doing, drinks in the hands and all! Being from of town not knowing what to expect or do to order we waited on a table that was farthest from the bar. The bartender which seemed to be the only employee there never acknowledged us not even to inform us that we had to order from the bar. We overheard the bartender and a few customers at the bar talking then a gentleman came to our table to say that we had to order from the bar. “A CUSTOMER” that is not the older lady whom was the bartender. We ordered our food with her, and let me say this she was obviously not happy with our presence there. She said she’ll bring the condiments to us with our food. When our food was ready it is still unknown to us if a young lady was an employee or customer but someone else brought our food. We were unsure if she was an an employee or not because she was at the slot machines and having drinks when we arrived but was also observed serving shots behind the bar later. We only ordered hot dogs and a cheeseburger. I’m not sure what the cheeseburger normally come with but the picture shows how we received it. Plain. No lettuce, no tomato, nothing on it. The ketchup we added on it prior to the picture being taken. Ohhh but when we left guess who came out of the bar to look out the window?!?! Yes! The bartender! We weren’t even inside our vehicle when I looked behind me I saw her looking out! Never had my family ever felt this type of way, I don’t want to say it but UNWELCOME is nothing compared to how we felt...

Thought the chicken sandwich was a bit expensive ($7 or $8) no sides, lettuce, tomatoes or onions offered. Just a grilled chicken breast on a bun with 3 pickles and BBQ sauce, mayo, mustard and ketchup as condiments. Locals seem to like the place. If you are not already a regular, don’t bother. Bartender was very rude. Would not serve bourbon on the day of The Kentucky Derby, unable to make a margarita on May 5th. Made us feel as if we were imposing, even asking where we came from. Wow, if I only could give...
