I wouldn't even give this a star but I had to. After taking my Father to the ER we were on our way back home & I decided instead of cooking at in the middle of the night I would stop by here. I went to the drive through as soon as I pulled up to the speaker a woman immediately informed me that it would be 20 minutes before she could take my order she was doing a deposit. I politely said ok I don't mind waiting I would like to order a big mac when I am able to order. She said ok give her 20 minutes she will be back to take my order I looked at the time it was 3:20 AM. I sat there very patiently waiting while it was pouring rain had to keep my window partly down so I could hear her over the speaker because it was raining so hard. 3:40 AM came no return to get my order I decided to give her a few more minutes I know things happen. Finally 3:50AM still no return so I politely spoke into the speaker asking if I could order yet & I got no response. I again politely asked if I could get some help no response again. So I decided I was going to drive up to the window to see if I could get someone to help me as soon as I pulled away & got to the first window I hear her come over the speaker " Go ahead with your order". I was to far down to back up so I drove back around to the speaker & she again said go ahead with your order (by the way she knew it was me the person who had been sitting there for over 35 mins waiting to order) I told her I would like a Big Mac she interrupts me & says we are now only serving breakfast. Now when I first pulled up over 35 mins ago & she told me it would be a 20 minute wait to be able to order I said that was fine I would wait but would like to order a Big Mac when I am able to order not once did she say anything about only serving breakfast also the menu sign was showing strictly regular menu NOT breakfast. I responded and said Ma'am I let you know over 35 minutes ago I was going to order a Big Mac & you said ok but you were doing a deposit so I wouldn't be able to order until 20 minutes I sat here for over 35 minutes very patiently & now your telling me I can't order anything unless it's breakfast items you should have told me that when you told me there was a 20 minute wait to be able to order & I let you know I was going to order a Big Mac. I said I have now been here almost 45 minutes you all don't have any way of making a Big Mac? She said No just breakfast. I said you haven't even changed your sign out here so I can't even see what breakfast items you have & that is not what I sat here this long for. She responds by saying "sorry" I was very upset & left. This definitely was one of many bad experiences with this Mc Donald's location. It definitely seems to be getting worse not better. After this most recent bad experience I will no longer be giving them my business. I took my business elsewhere that night. I'm disgusted with the way this employee acted like it didn't even bother her making me wait longer then stated & knowing I wasn't ordering breakfast waited to tell me they are only taking breakfast orders after all that time Her attitude was unprofessional & she needs to find a job where she is not directly working with customers. Wouldn't recommend this...

I recently visited the McDonald's in Defuniak Springs, and I must admit that I was deeply disappointed with my experience. While McDonald's has a global reputation for its standardized quality and service, this particular location significantly falls short.
Cleanliness: This is a primary concern for any establishment that serves food. The bathrooms were not in a state that I would expect from a renowned chain like McDonald's. I have attached pictures for reference which speaks for the situation better than words.
Staff Presentation & Professionalism: The staff members were not wearing name tags. This makes it difficult for patrons to identify and communicate with the employees, should there be a need to address any concerns. Proper uniform and identification are basic tenets of service professionalism.
Service Inefficiencies: Despite choosing the "Eat in" function, as seen in the attached picture, we were not served at our table. Instead, the staff would shout out the table number from the counter, expecting customers to retrieve their orders. This is not only inconvenient but also particularly distressing for individuals with disabilities.
Presentation of Food: It was surprising to see our order packed in a bag instead of being placed on a tray. The attached picture showcases this. The essence of choosing to dine in is lost when the presentation feels like it's been prepped for a takeaway.
Staff Activity: Roughly a minute after capturing these photos, an employee did begin some cleaning with a broom, but once again, she wasn't wearing a name tag. Additionally, many staff members seemed to be congregated at the front, behind the register, rather than attending to customers and ensuring the dining area was in order. Furthermore, an attempt to mitigate negative feedback was evident from a handwritten note displayed, as seen in the attached picture. This note seemingly entices customers with the offer of free food in exchange for positive reviews. Such practices, in my opinion, are not genuine or transparent methods of addressing and rectifying genuine concerns and feedback. It's essential for businesses to prioritize authentic customer experiences over superficial ratings. We fully understand that someone internal to MacDonald's may identify us as a customer. You can be rest assured that we will be back at this location to see if it is getting any better. The next step is to talk to corporate if the issues remain.
In conclusion, this visit was far from the standard experience I've come to expect from McDonald's. I hope that the management takes note of these glaring issues and institutes changes swiftly. A location's cleanliness, service efficiency, and staff professionalism directly reflect on the brand, and from what I've witnessed, there is substantial room for improvement at this...
Read moreI donât recommend coming here. My family and I went in to order breakfast only to be stared at and ignored by the employees and harassed by customers. I went to stand in line to order for my family and I and the guy at the register literally walked away and stood by the cooks. Then he was talking to another employee and walked back to the register to get his hat to just walk away from me again. He then turned around to look at me and signaled me to wait a second. However we had already waited too long because before that my dad tried to order but the guy didnât understand him because my dadâs English isnât very good. So then I went to order on the big screen. As I was ordering the customers at this restaurant kept staring at us. Staring me and my family down. It was extremely uncomfortable so I ordered as fast as I could to sit down eat and get out of there. After we finished eating we all went to the bathroom and a young man followed my dad. My dad explained how this young man asked him questions to know the whereabouts of our family and how he was shaking frantically (as if he was nervous). My dad freaked out and thought it was weird how nervous and skitsh this guy was. Whatever is going on in this area is disturbing. I most definitely think it was racism which is something not surprising to us anymore. But it is horrible how people can be when people of different race and color are treated when all we wanted to do was eat and...
