After a long couple nights of driving I pulled in for a bite to eat in the middle of the night. 3 people working there that night. The 2 waitresses were in a car smoking pot as I parked. Literal smoke was visible from door when they tried to covertly exit the vehicle. After I ordered and ate, I walked towards the restrooms and could not bear the stench so I did not muster the courage to inhale another breath for fear of losing my breakfast. Literally smelled like the bathrooms have not been cleaned since the Obama administration. Upon attempting to leave the parking area I had issues with the trailer I was towing and I went back inside to ask for some assistance for a parked vehicle to be moved to clear space. The huskier of the 2 waitresses said she could not move the car at the moment as she was busy serving. There was literally one guy inside waiting for his take out food to be cooked. She seems way more concerned with becoming his new shorty than actually performing the tasks required to continue being gainfulIy employed. I then go outside and I see the male cook taking out the trash while licking his fingers. He attempts to give me such profound and insightful advice about trailers that clearly showed me that his talents were simply being wasted away on a daily basis by pouring batter into a waffle maker. I was left in complete amazement as he walked away that life had been so unfair that he was not working somewhere else developing the newest AI technology or perhaps toiling in a lab splitting the atom. A few minutes later as I was working on my trailer a police officer shows up, as I converse with the young officer of the law it comes out that he did not randomly drive by but rather he was called by the employees of this waffle house. At no time was I ever rude or cause any action to warrant such a call to be made. I had just been working out in the sun the day before and perhaps my tan was leaning too far to the wrong end of the spectrum. After a few minutes of trivial banter and assessing the parking lot situation, the officer left and departed back into the darkness of the night to keep that sleepy town of 8000 people safe. So in short, this was the worst restaurant experience of my life and I do not recommend anyone to set foot inside their doors. If at all possible, march down a few more exits on I-10 before filling your stomach. I have contacted corporate and will be following up with them as I travel to Norcross, Georgia in...
Read moreMy wife and I stopped by around midnight or little earlier. There was only 2 or 3 others inside but 2 more came in following us,so they were not extremely busy! Waitress was taking our order I couldn't remember the ingredients in fiesta omelette, so we asked server, who in turn looked around and asked the cook(only other employee I saw besides her) and that was where the only thing I saw in our entire dining in visit that night that was anything to even mention in my review that had any sort of negative impact on my dining that night. The cook was like he was just ignoring the server as she asked him about 5 or 6 times what comes on the fiesta omelette? Finally he did catch on to her and my wife and I all staring at him . And he pulled ear bud nearest us out completely. Then she was trying to find the ingredients out because my wife had asked about having mushrooms in it cause she can't eat them. But no matter how she was doing or asking him he was just saying something that was basically his way of letting i guess my wife and I (only customers left inside with 1 cook and 1 server) see him try to embarrass server or make himself look like he's bigger than he is or tougher maybe. But once I spoke up to cook he really was knowledgeable of the ingredients and the fact that the server had supposed to been studying her menu to learn all things served in that waffle house! All in all good was really good even grits which often aren't even grits due to time on hotbar where cook plated food once...
Read moreThe food is a hit or miss. If you dine in, be warned, there is dead flies on the window sills. The establishment isn’t up to par with cleanliness. The customer service simply isn’t there either unfortunately. Today in particular, we called multiple times to place a to go order and no one would answer. Eventually, a lady answered and stated that because they were “really” busy, they can’t take to go orders over the phone, and we must come inside. As soon as she said that, my boyfriend went straight there (8 mins down the road) just to see more workers than guests. There were only guests at 2 tables. He asked her about that upon arrival and all she said was, “Sorry about that.” So.....you lied? Obviously. Lol. It’s really disappointing since we have supported this business throughout the pandemic and even now. We remember when it was just the manager and another server working because that is all they had. Now the new staff doesn’t want to do the bare minimum such as take a to go order over the phone. Our order is super easy too. And while I’m leaving this review too, I will go ahead and mention our previous experience as we tried to dine in. We walked in and sat down. However, no one greeted us or said anything to us. We sat there for about 5 minutes until we agreed the vibe was off. No one gave us a menu...
