Green Door Cafe — Restaurant in Delafield

One of the best cafes I have been to in a long time. I had the blueberry matcha and flatbread special with shrimp. WOW. The shrimp was some of the best I have ever had!!!! The pesto flatbread was so good I couldn’t stop telling everyone I saw later that day - the crust had so. much. flavor. And the toppings were so delicious…I keep sayings it’s one of the best meals I’ve had in a long time…The matcha was great, definitely not sweet compared to other cafes, which I appreciated. You can tell the food here is made with lots of love and incredible expertise. And for the price?? I’m shocked there wasn’t a line out the door when I came at lunch on Thursday. This is a new staple for me, and I can’t wait to try more items like the crepes and breakfast burrito! Very filling portions, tasted SO fresh and nourishing, like it was grown in the backyard. The garden out back was the icing on the cake-what a rare, beautiful find !!! Love love love! Oh, and of course, the sweetest customer service. Can’t wait to bring all my favorite people here...

I had the absolute pleasure of staying above this diner while renting a B&B, and let me tell you, waking up every morning to some of the greatest culinary scents rising into my unit, I woke up craving whatever they were cooking up downstairs every time.

I met Mr. Dayne, and one of his lovely daughters, as well as another associate that was “like family”. I can’t recall their names. However, I can recall their hospitality and their kindness. I had their breakfast burrito one day, and a special that Dayne recommended to me another, and let me tell you, they were incredible. I was actually disappointed when I finished all of it, not because they were small portions, they were more than generous on their portion sizes, but because I wanted more! I didn’t want to be finished!

If I ever get the pleasure of working from this area again, I’ll be coming here again immediately. The food...

As a first meal from the Green Door I tried the vegan wrap and the grain salad. The presentation was colorful and looked very Mediterranean, like I should have been sitting by the sea or the coast with this plate in front of me. ( A girl can dream..) My first bites were like an explosion of flavor in my mouth. I couldn’t believe how much taste was jam packed into such a wrap! Next thing I knew, I had gobbled up the wrap in a fury. I had the grain salad left .. the salad was a great clean up of the palate after such a tornado of a treat. It was a pleasant compliment to such a colossal of flavorful yum-yum. I am thoroughly impressed with my first experience at Green Door and I will be trying other dishes and reporting back to you all...
